I prefer to make my own - many great recipes out there - fried or grilled. Lump crab meat is available in most supermarkets - it is almost as easy as making hamburgers. Why would you want to pay exorbitant prices to order them on-line?????

"Why would you want to pay exorbitant prices to order them"

Craig, where do you live? Crab in South TX is spelled with a K--what the heck is that?! I grew up eating Maryland crabs, not Krabs, and it has been my experience you cannot get good quality crab meat here so I am willing to pay the price and the Maryland crab cakes from QVC are worth every penny. Blue crabs can be found at specialty grocery stores but they are equally expensive.

Never met a frozen crabcake I LOVED! I'd much prefer a great can of crab from the fishmonger, and adding some fresh breadcrumbs, egg, tabasco and cayanne.....fry them up and finish in the oven......no big deal, but making them to order will always blow away any frozen item. JMHO

Okay .. HELP .. ! Has anyone had the crab cakes they sell at Costco and the QVC crab cakes .. I live about four miles from Costco and am a member .. I could easily get them from Costco .. but are they the same quality or almost as good .. slightly better .. or no where near the quality of QVC ?

Mahs, the crabcakes at Costco don't come NEAR the quality of those you buy from QVC, believe me! I compared...... they are not from the same company. You simply have to try the Chesapeake Bay brand from QVC to believe it.... it's like sitting in a Baltimore seafood restaurant! :-)
