only 3 days in NYC
 

We only have 3 days in NYC and are bringing our Moms for Mothers day. Us younger ones have been before, but not the moms. What should we not miss for them?

The top of the Empire State Building. Bet your moms saw "An Affair to Remember" back in the fifties, and loved Cary Grant waiting there in the rain for Deborah Kerr.

Moms always like Broadway shows. Tea at the Plaza Hotel is nice too.<BR>If it's a nice day, go to the Met and go to the rooftop bar and have a cocktail overlooking the treeline of Central Park.<BR>If they are up to it, you can't beat a great half-day at a spa. The Origins Spa at chelsea piers is nice. Bliss is best but hard to get into and expensive.<BR>A boat ride on the Circle Line is a great way to get great views of the city<BR><BR>

The statue of liberty is a must. You don't have to go out to it. You can see it from the shore in Lower Manhattan. Times Square is an amazing place to see - while you are down in the theater district you can walk around. Many people love the boat trip around the island. <BR><BR>For such a short trip I'd highly recommend the tours of upper and lower manhattan -- that way you get a bit of a look at all of the highlights -- for example, Chinatown, Brooklyn Bridge, the Park, Greenwich Village, St Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefellar Plaza and much more. Hope you have as much fun as we did on a 3-day trip in February.

*Take them on the Staten Island Ferry. It offers a great view of the Statue of Liberty and the NY skyline. And, the ride is FREE!<BR>*Take them on a walk on Fifth Avenue and around Rockefeller Center.<BR>*Take them to the top of the Empire State Building.<BR>*Take them to a Broadway show.<BR>That's for starters.
