Wishing you a fun and safe trip also; do check in once you've arrived and have computer access.
I just came back from 10 days in Florida, balmy 80 degrees everyday, how wonderful for you to be able to flee winter for good.

Have a super trip, Scarlett, and I hope things go smoothly for you and your Yankee, and of course for Pup. Up here in freezy snowy Toronto we envy you your southern relocation!

dln Jan 7th, 2004 01:50 PM

Dear Scarlett! It will be so hard to live without a computer for the next several days until you're in sunny Florida! Save up all those stories for us, have a good safe trip, and we await your return (sigh, you'll probably be sporting a lovely suntan when you log in next...)

jbee Jan 7th, 2004 02:09 PM

Drive safe- my kitties send Pup safe journeys as well!

OliveOyl Jan 7th, 2004 02:39 PM

Oh Scarlett...have a fabulous trip and be sure to set that 'puter up first thing! When you cross the state line, the "Welcome to the Sunshine State" is such a nice sight, especially as you are leaving NY in the dead of winter. I'll miss you in the interim, friend! Hobie wishes Tate a happy and safe journey as well. Make sure bankie makes it into the car and bunny too. A guy has to pack what he's got to pack, after all! ((&))

dln, Ms Scarlett and Ms Olive no longer tan...just the palest of shades, but would you care to join us under the sunbrella? :) It's the Florida way, don'tchaknow.

Safe journey Scarlett, and welcome to Florida! Get ready for Confederate jasmine, camellias, and azaleas--forget ice, snow and slush. Toss out the ice scrapers, toss out the shovels, pull on your sandals and "Come On Down"!

cigalechanta Jan 7th, 2004 02:40 PM

Bon Voyage Scarlett.

kodi Jan 7th, 2004 03:38 PM

The best of luck on your journey down south. Oh, it's so wonderful to be driving south and seeing everything getting greener and greener, and warmer and warmer. I hope Pup enjoys the trip.
A big wave of the paw from my pooch.
Drive carefully.

Belated best wishes! The red carpet is out and ready for you down here. You're losing the snows of jersey but gaining the sands of florida. Come on down, and enjoy the balmy days. Its 82 today in lovely west palm. It ought to be nice up where youll be. Welcome to florida and enjoy the life we all love here.

OliveOyl Jan 9th, 2004 08:01 AM

Ms Scarlett, you can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl. NYC will always call you back and you'll need the occasional fixes....but only in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Looking at the Today Show, I see it's frigid up there today and in truth...we've got a cold front headed this direction too so are looking at a "brisk" 63 for the high tomorrow. The nice thing is, it won't stay long and is just enough to allow our sweaters to air a bit. Drive carefully and wave "bye" to the streets of NY as you drive off. Can't wait to hear all about the trip AND the new house!

Fair winds and following seas!

JermiahBf Jan 9th, 2004 09:11 AM

Lucky you, relocating to warm sunny Florida. Where? Think of us braving the winds along the Hudson. Congratulations on escaping the frigid north. AS they say, may the road rise to greet you along your way, and the winds lift your wings. And work on that tan!!!!!
