Hands down The Michaelangelo! You should have grabbed it! A gorgeous hotel with a reputation for upgrading guests to suites, it is in a wonderful location, has a great little breakfast included each day and a bar that is the perfect spot for a drink post-theater. Its one of our favs.

My all time fav NY hotel is <b>The Muse</b> on 46th. It is beautiful, recently renovated, has a wonderful lobby and bar with a gratis wine hour each evening and coffee in the mornings. The staff is outstanding and the location is perfect for theater. You can book it directly on their web site for much less than you're talking about Priceline mediocre hotels -- for example $314 for the last week of April. (Not sure of your dates)

We always take the train to and fro EWR to Penn Station and never stay in or near Times Sq( former NYers)

OK, we found a nice rate at Michelangelo and booked it for the duration. It's extremely close to Le Bernardin, highly rated by people who stayed there and a four star property with an excellent gym, so the perfect solution.

Also getting a car service for the airport xfers, thanks again for all the tips on that.
