I can also suggest the Concert for Peace at St. John's the Divine. It is a FREE concert, with Lauren Flanigan as guest star this year. The concert starts at 7pm we are usually out by 9pm or so. This concert would be a highlight of your trip. For the 2000 Millenium celebration the concert was one of the featured US events on ABC.
