I haven't eaten at all these, but I would try Graze, Artichoke Cafe, Ambrozia, or Le Cafe Miche. Vivace and Scalo both have good Italian food, and Yanni's is great for Mediterranean.

Ambrozia is on Rio Grande by Old Town, and Le Cafe Miche is in the Northeast Heights on Wyoming just north of I-40. The other places are all along the stretch of Central between Downtown and Nob Hill.
