We are a family of six. Kids now ages 11,13,15,17. Have spent 3 of last four summers in Provincetown.. Highly recommend Tides Motor Inn (Best Western)
Is in Provincetown but on the outskirts of town. Has a pool, shuffleboard, restaurant. Located on bay side. You can walk out into the bay hundreds of feet when tide is out . Kids love that! We've stayed in their family room which has two rooms with 1 king, 2 queen beds refrigerator. Elliot

Just wanted to add my support to gyppielou and starrville's comments. Having grown up on the Cape, I've visited P'town virtually every year of my life. Now I try to take my own kids there once each summer. We also have gay friends who live there. But if you don't know what to expect...the place can give you quite a shock. I'll never forget the look on my then 4-year-olds face when I told him that the "women" who had just performed a singing/dancing skit during lunch on our restaurant's patio (drumming up business for a show that night) were really men! It's a great town, but certainly unlike any other place I've every visited!

Thanks for the support, klw25. Sure was surprised to be slammed for my comments earlier by Gene. I think kids SHOULD go to P'town, but also think the parents might appreciate a heads-up regarding what the weeks surrounding July 4th might be like. I was hoping to be up there this year to visit friends, but it didn't work out.
