sigh... i wish he was into spas and golfing! no such luck!
right now he has the idea of montreal - any opinions on that? i know it's not a U.S. city.. |
Paris is Paris, I don't know that you're going to find many places to top it.
If you're looking to spend a month, perhaps a trip up the California coast will be enjoyable. Start in San Diego and work your way north. With a month to travel, you could easily do multiple cities. If I had a month to travel in February, I might consider somewhere like Australia or Southeast Asia. It won't be Paris, but a month spent traveling through "Oz", will certainly be a great trip. |
Do you mean for the entire month of Feb, or just during the month? Are you still thinking of Montreal? I'm not sure how much time you have, but there is not much to do there that would last more than 3-4 days except take in the ambience. Maybe you could combine it with Burlington, VT. Also, what about Toronto? There are several ethnic neighborhoods that are fun to visit, plus several museums, great shopping, restaurants etc.

Montreal is wonderful, but in February?
We actually were there last early December for my 59th - the very first late snow of 3 or 4 inches was actually quite romantic, but the NE US got blasted with 2 or 3 feet and Montreal was on the western edge of the N'Easter. I would not go in February, and I really hope never to see snow again (well, maybe at 37000 ft X'ing the Alps). Like jimjim, I think colonial MX would interest you. San Diego is best in September and October, and I think March/April better in the US South. M |
Montreal is wonderful, and so is Chicago, but in February?
