need A/C in Maui in January?
hello!
I'm planning a trip to Maui the first week of January 2005. Several condo's and B&B's I've looked at do not offer A/C (but have ceiling fans). How critical is it to have A/C that time of year (concerned primarily for the nighttime sleeping conditions)? Thanks! Lorraine |
Ceiling fans are adequate, especially if you're directly on the ocean. There are a few places away from the coast that officer a/c, but it really isn't necessary

I agree with MinnieNo1
We've been in winter and summer, the first couple of days took some getting used to but after that it was fine just using the fans |
Depends on what you're used to. I can't stand humidity. I'm a winter person so I absolutely need A/C in a tropical climate. Others may not. It will be humid there all year.

We didn't have a/c in our condo in July. We had fans and it was right on the ocean though. It was fine at night.
