Nashville, 2 days, no car

Which hotels do you recommend as we will not have a car. Would like to be where it is handy to get around. Would there be a shuttle from the airport ? Last wk. end of May.

Depends on what you wish to do. I assume you are doing things downtown...I suggest the new Hilton..I have not stayed there yet, but it looks very nice. I would also suggest the Rennasaince (sp?) downtown.

If you are in the "opryland
section...the only choice other than chaep chains in the Opryland Hotel.

If you are near Vanderbilt, there is a nice new Marriot or try the Loews Vanderbilt plaza. Vanderbilt is a good close alternative to staying downtown. Its either a hearty walk or a cheap cab.

If it's only going to be for 2 nights, I'd spring for Opryland. It's something else and it's w/i walking distance of Opry Mills, which has tons of stores and restaurants, and the Opry is close too.

All hotels have tours you can book to see the highlights.

You could spend 2 days in Opryland hotel and may never want to leave! Do check for special rates- they run many specials. Get on their mailing list and they'll notify you of rate changes.
You'll love it.
