Naples best restaurants
It is a few years now since my husband & I visited Naples , & when we visited then I was given some good recommendations for restaurants, which unfortunately I have misplaced!
We don't like fast food restaurants & as I have an intolerance to Lacose, no dairy at all, somewhere where they wouldn't mind not using butter. I seem to remember going to Bricktops last time. We enjoy both fish, shellfish & meat, so aren't fussy that way, would just like a few places that are in the medium price range. Really looking forward to visiting Naples again, as we love Florida. |
Alexander's is outstanding fine dining for lunch or dinner. Randy's is also a nice fine dining restaurant for lunch or dinner. The Bayhouse is also fine dining for lunch or dinner.
Alexander's @ Suite D101, 4077 Tamiami Trail, Naples, FL 239 - 262 - 4999. http://www.alexandersnaples.com/ Randy's Fishmarket Restaurant @ 10395 Tamiami Trail N, Naples, FL 239 - 593 - 5555. http://www.randysfishmarketrestaurant.com/ The Bayhouse Restaurant @ 799 Walkerbilt Road, Naples, FL 239 - 591 - 3837. http://www.bayhousenaples.com/ |
Yes, I remember Randy's, don't you have to get there early?
Will look at the websites of the others.....thank you. |
We enjoyed Truluc's(not really sure of the spelling), but it was great and nice atmosphere.
|
I recommend Bleu Provence
Address: 1234 8th Street South Naples, FL 34102 Telephone: 239-261-8239 |
I second the recommendation for Truluck's. We ate on their patio, and found the food & service to be lovely.
I'd also suggest Campiellos, and for very casual, Yabba Island Grill. |
Also, the Bonefish Grill for seafood. Good service, nice atmosphere, outside dining and reasonable prices. If you go in Season, you will need reservations everywhere if you want to avoid long waits.
|
No, we won't be going in season & now I remember Bonefish Grill.
I really appreciate all your help & we are staying in West Naples, so not too far from there would be good. thank you. |
We also like Bonefish Grill, but since we have it close to us at home, it's not someplace I'd choose when we're away.
|
I had the second worst service of my life at Campiello's. Your mileage may vary. I hope.
|
Ackislander: And we had some of the Best service of our lives at Campiello's! (also some of the best risotto, too). Go figure. One of us had an off day. :)
PS: Are you from Nantucket? |
I had a pasta at Campiello's - a tagliatelle with a lamb ragu - that was so good I still tell people about it. We too had wonderful service there on a night that was very crowded. Would go again.
|
motherofthree: That's what my DH had, and he loved it! I had some mushroom & pasta dish (might have been a special?) that was out of this world. And the service was fabulous.
But I do understand that every place can have an off night, and no place is perfect. |
Two blocks from Campiello on 13th Ave. south is Ridgway Bar & Grill. NO hype or pretense, just really good food, dining inside or out.
|
Our waiter looked like Fabio (shoulder length hair; right person, right spelling?) and kept looking at himself in the mirror while our meals grew dry and miserable under the heat lamps. Nothing we did got his attention. Our British friend gave him a 7% tip, which I bet got his attention!
And yes, Bowsprit, our home is in Nantucket. Though like a lot of folks on these forums, it sometimes seems we are never home! |
Just a quick thank you to everyone who has replied so far.......definitely food for thought. ( Sorry!!!)
|
Judy 24: If I can recreate it I will let you know... :) It was the best meal we had when in Naples.
|
Our waiter looked like Shrek. He was fabulous. I would have enjoyed Fabio though. Ah well, maybe next time....

Has anyone ever eaten in any of the restaurants in Venetian village, as we will be staying near there?
