IMHO=In My Honest Opinion.

Me? Humble? Have a humble opinion?

HA!

:-D

Ain't happening sista!

Sadly, many computer nerds are too lazy to spell out complete words. It's their way of proclaiming their own compu-culture and thumbing their noses at ancient modes of communication (for example, proper English sentences). Many of these sorts also refuse to capitalize the first letter in a sentence. By doing that, you see, they're rebels, kind of like James Joyce a century or so ago. Of course, most of these compu-nerds don't know who James Joyce is, but that is another topic altogether.

james joyce...cousin to ee cummings?

Leslie_B Mar 17th, 2005 11:44 AM

Never heard of these ppl, but that's nothing a little Google can't fix! ;)

MrAmazed Mar 17th, 2005 11:45 AM

So Go, are you suggesting you might offer dishonest opinions?

starrsville Mar 17th, 2005 11:55 AM

you done good again, iceeu2

GoTravel Mar 17th, 2005 12:30 PM

No, no. That acronym would then be IMDO. I only give honest opinions. Not humble, honest.

So, Shane, ya seem to uh, you know, like the comma?

Do you know how the Harvard comma is used?

Standard:

We bought red, blue, black and green balls.

Harvard comma:

We bought red, blue, black, and green balls.

LOL...Laugh out Loud. As I am reading some of this thread!

DH = Dear Husband
GTG = Get Together

ROTFLOL = Rolling on the floor laughing out loud.

jlm_mi Mar 17th, 2005 12:59 PM

tpatricco - I much prefer ROTFLMAO. :D

Leslie_B Mar 17th, 2005 01:05 PM

I think I can guess what that means! lol

tpatricco Mar 17th, 2005 01:24 PM

Oh jlm...I like that one too...but can't spell it out here!

buttercup Mar 17th, 2005 02:06 PM

GTG can also mean good to go, as in "we're packed, we have tickets, we're good to go."

CAPH52 Mar 17th, 2005 04:33 PM

I've noticed that GTG always means get together on this board. But when my kids IM or send text messages it means got to go.
