Maui/Kauai Restaurants

My wife and I (we're late 20s-early 30s) are going to Hawaii next month. Staying at the Hyatt Regency in Kauai and Four Seasons in Maui. Any recommendations on good restaurants on the islands. By the way, we don't eat seafood. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go to Brennecke's and have their Nachos with a Pink Panther shake, while looking out over the ocean.

Maui: Seawatch (Wailea) - suggested to us by the concierge at the Four Seasons; Kapalua Bay Club - the most beautiful place to have dinner; Sea House (Napili) - great for breakfast; Hula Grill in Kaanapali for something fun and casual.

On Maui, we liked Cheeseburger in Paradise, Hula Grill, Leilani's, and Nick's Fishmarket.

Kapalua Bay Club is no more.

Hey, doc, if you search this forum you will find endless discussion on restaurants for both islands.

Forgot to mention breakfast (also for TravelDiva),
The largest=-o pancakes we have eaten in Hawaii have been at Charleys ((&)), and suggest that you don't forget to ask for the coconut syrup. :S-

The link below provides additional pancake dining suggestions kindly shared by bluefan:

For a casual meal, Brick Oven Pizza in Kauai is great! We went there twice. Mulligan's in the Wailea area of Maui is fun - especially if you go to Wailea Nights to hear the fantastic music! We went to Nick's and Sarento's and found the meal and ambience at Mulligan's to be superior. (Just an opinion.)

We had a fabulous meal at Casa di Amici in Poipu this last July. Great risotto, pasta and braised meat dishes. YUM.
Tidepools at the Hyatt is pretty good too.
If you are into noodles, fabulous fried wontons, scintillating skewers of beef and chicken and luscious lilikoi chiffon pie try Hamura's Saimin in Lihue. It's a great place to zip by for dinner on your way back from hanging out on the north shore. Not much to look at, but my, my the food!

Thanks JohnD...those BMNPs are calling my name and are going to be a HUGE reward after my postholidays-prebikini-lowcal-lowfat-lowcarb living for the past month.

Only 2 weeks left! :)

Coconuts in Kaui is a fun place and inexpensive. You are staying at the Hyatt in Kuai, and Tidepools in the hotel is really nice. Check it out.

In Kauai: A Pacific Cafe. Top tier fusion, though the view is nonexistent.

FYI, just returned from Kauai last week. A Pacific Cafe has permanantly closed.
