Yes, I think Duke actually got more of the ref's favortism as they usually do in their games. Duke shoots 20% more free throws a game then any other team in college basketball. They always have the home field advantage.

I think LSU simply shut down Riddick and therefore the Duke offense. When you rely so much on one player for your offense, you live and die based on that player's performance.

Temple guarded Riddick perfectly and supports the adage that offense wins games but defense wins championships!

Now the challenge for LSU is Texas, which looks real tough and physical.

Downsouth:

Where did your kids go to school?

Glen Davis is always so well spoken and humorous in post-game interviews. He really helps counter some of the other negative images for young kids. I know that he will do so well in life and basketball as he seems to have a good head on his shoulders (he has a 3.2 GPA). He reminds me of another Tiger, Shaq!

Mah1980,

My children attend the LSU Lab School/University High School on the LSU campus so when Glen and Garrett graduated from our high school, they just walked right across the street!

There was a great article in the Baton Rouge paper this week about how close Glenn, Garrett, Tyrus Thomas and Tasmin Mitchell are. They grew up together as kids playing basketball together or against each other since the age of 4. They are all roommates and encourage each other to go to class and be the best that they can be. Looks like it's paying off!

I remember hearing that Davis went to U-High. I went to law school at LSU and a lot of my law professors' children went to school across the street at U-High. It's an excellent school.

I am glad that the Tigers basketball team are finally giving Louisiana residents some good p.r. for the state.

Amen! And don't forget about the LSU Women's Basketball team, lead by Pokey Chapman. They're having a fantastic year as well.
