los angeles
traveling to LA with the kids. what area is the best to stay, and not have to worry what whether it is day or night? any tips on sights to see also appreciated.
|
Depends on the ages of the kids, but I'd say Santa Monica.
|
Less expensive than Santa Monica, is Manhattan Beach, the other side of LAX.
Check out Sea View Inn a block from the beach. Very safe city. Close to Freeways, too. http://www.seaview-inn.com/ What do you want to do with your kids, go to Disneyland or ? |
It depends on whether you will have a car (highly recommended with kids in tow since LA is very spread out). I second Santa Monica. It also depends on what you'd like to do. I wouldn't stay in Manhattan Beach if you're planning on doing a lot of sightseeing as it's far from most major tourist attractions and sights.

I will going in March to LA, looking to see grumans.la brae tarpits, walk of fame. rodeo dr.,check out santa monica, venice beach, and if time allows universal studios(did that in Florida) I am not sure where to stay,
|
How many days are you staying and will you have a car? 4 persons in one room, what'$ your approx budget?
|
i will be there for 3 nts. i will have a car and my budget is $200

Elan Modern is convenient to many places on your list around West Hollywood/Hollwyood and in your budget. Also, look into Chamberlain and Le Parc Suites in West Hollywood.
If you want to stay by the beach and can up the budget to $250, you can consider Loew's in Santa Monica. However, this will be a 30 minute drive to West Hollywood. |
