Live report from DebitNM - earthquake in HI
 
Greetings all! We are in Oahu and have just gotten power back at 2:40 pm local time.

The quake hit here at 7:07 am this morning. We were asleep in bed when I felt the room shake and heard rumblings. I woke my DH and jumped out of bed to feel the floor sway as I raced to look out the balcony to see if anything was visible. The power stayed on for a few minutes and then went out till now.

We are staying at the Marriott Ko Olina which west of HNL.

Things are calm here now, saw pictures from BI and Maui. Hard to believe we were just on BI a few days ago and 6 miles away from the epicenter.

We are all good here!

Aloah Debi, I'm so glad you are OK. As you know, I've just returned from the BI and this news was mind-blowing for DH and me. Be careful and do not take any unnecessary chances.

You just threw in this earthquake thing so you'd have a trip report none of us could compete with, huh! ;-)

Glad to hear you are alright. Quite a trip report you will have to give us!! ( I was wondering if you were out of town as missing your imput on a post.)

It's good you're OK and it's just an adventure for you, but next time don't jump out on the balcony, stay safe inside :)

Have you been to that timeshare talk yet? Now THAT would've been a good time for the power to go out!
Seriously, Debi-- glad you and DH are ok. LOL BayouGal--this should def'lly spice up the trip report.
