Key West Wedding

I want to get married this Nov. in Key West. I have been corresponding w/ the Doubletree Grand Key resort. I was wondering if anyone has either stayed there or been married there. Please help!!

While the resort itself looks nice, it is located on Roosevelt which is a very busy commercial strip with no character or Keys flavor AND it is close to the airport and you may have planes flying overhead while you say your vows. There are so many nicer places to have a wedding in KW IMO.

I would look into something in Old Town. There are many beautiful b&b's which have lovely courtyards to hold your ceremony or the Hyatt. The Hemmingway House also does weddings.

Here is a link to the Keys website which lists wedding planners etc.

I agree with buckeyemom. While the Grand Key is relatively new, its location is absolutely horrible! There are LOTS of better places to stay - and get married - in Key West.

Find a place in Old Town and eliminate anyplace on Roosevelt Road. The Hyatt on Front Street is really nice but for a less expensive alternative you might check out the Key West Innkeepers' Association website at keywestinns.com.

I'm not sure what types of parties they allow but check out the truman little white house in old town. Truman annex has a beautiful location and its very private.

Thank you all!! I have taken your suggestions and have been looking around. If anyone else comes up w/ anything I would love to hear a/b it!
