Sorry, Barbara, but that wasn't even the BIG celebration. It was either 1999 or 1998, I can't remember which. But we go to Key West several times a year and I must say that it's really fun at all times, so I'd highly encourage you to at least go spend the day.

I agree with Susan. I'd also like to point out that what may be getting lost in my negative comments about Key West on NYE is the fact that the Keys are a wonderful place to vacation, and I'm sure your family will have a fabulous visit, no matter what you decide!

thanks all, yes, im sure it will be nice. the reason we are taking our kids is that we were there for 3 days in May and would love to show our kids the whole setup and all, and whats'more Sanibel which we liked very much as well.
