Hi Maureen I see that you are talking about hiking. Remember that on the west side (KoKee)the hiking will be cooler and you will want full length pants, rain jacket with hood.<BR><BR>I liked having light weight hiking boots on all my trips to Kauai. The Tivas are nice but I would not want to trash them, hiking boots are like water proof sneakers and dirt gives em character and stories.
