JH Dog friendly hotels

Hi,
I am looking for ideas on a nice place to stay in or around the JH area with my dog.

Also, any ideas on dog friendly hikes would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Scrabble Aug 13th, 2001 04:32 PM

And the "JH Area" would be....
the Japanese Holocaust area?
the Jacksonville Heliport area?
the Jewish Hillel area?
...or maybe even Johns Hopkins/
Throw us a bone here, OK?

Cleo Aug 13th, 2001 08:17 PM

I'm with scrabble......I'm looking in my crystal ball, can't seen to locate JH.....oh, JH, where are you???

kim Aug 14th, 2001 09:13 AM

Hey Merideth,

I am also wondering where you are refering to. Drop back in on us sometime and let us know!

merideth Aug 14th, 2001 09:42 AM

JACKSON HOLE, you bozos!
Know any other cities in this country with the initials "JH"?
Duhh!
Get with the program Einsteins.
C'mon, how about some suggestions, OK?
A whole day and not a single useful grunt out of anyone at this supposedly 'knowledgable' forum.
missmanners Aug 14th, 2001 10:06 AM

Merideth, you're not going to get anywhere being nasty. I have some useful information but choose not to share in with a brat.

hhh Aug 14th, 2001 11:41 AM

I highly recommend the BWL.

goyhomey Aug 14th, 2001 11:54 AM

Merideth, I would suggest anywhere near a sewage treatment plant. That way you wouldn't stink the place up so much.

emily Aug 14th, 2001 11:54 AM

Perhaps the bitch would enjoy FU or KMA?
Or even, UY?
Since you are such an Einstein yourself, I'm sure you'll understand.

xxx Aug 14th, 2001 12:03 PM

I hope that anyone who dares give Meredith (the major witch) advice has serious after-lunch heartburn today!

Meredith, why in the world would YOU think that a Jackson Hole-in-the-wall town in Wyoming would jog people's memories? Huh???

John Aug 14th, 2001 12:09 PM

I've BEEN to Jackson Hole and it didn't cross my mind when I wondered what "JH" stood for. Sorry, Meredith, you should give up on this one and ask again later once everyone forgives you for rudeness.

merideth Aug 14th, 2001 04:51 PM

Oooh. Pardon moi for not starching my white kid gloves before I dropped in on this forum which is apparently frequented by people who all think alike. (Not always deeply or quickly, just alike).
I ask a simple question and get a couple smart*ss comments without any help, then a whole bunch of bellowing and moaning about rudeness from 'miss manners' and the toad posse.
If anyone has any actual, useful info, I'd like to hear it.
Merci beaucoup with genuflection.
The rest of the peanut gallery can move on down the road to the inane arguments about kids in fancy restaurants and cartoon weddings.
missmanners Aug 14th, 2001 04:55 PM

Sorry, Merideth, I'm not going to share. You still have a rotten attitude. Pity the poor dog.

xxx Aug 14th, 2001 06:23 PM

Let's get this straight. Meredith posts the vague header/question. People ask "what are you talking about?" She tells us we're stupid. methinks Meredith is a total bitch and is the one with the problem! I, too, know of places in Jackson Hole for you and your poor dog but I'll keep it to myself.

Lettherebe Aug 14th, 2001 06:31 PM

Perhaps dear Merideth was not aware that the Wyoming category would not appear in her message or that this was not a Wyoming only forum, even though she may have posted as "Wyoming".
I can think of no other explanation for the confusion she is suffering.

R-U-4-Real? Aug 14th, 2001 06:33 PM

Merideth, I can't quite believe a reasonable adult would post the rude messages you have.

I would prefer to think you are a troll -- you know, one of those people who post outrageous questions/comments just to get people upset.
Some of the childish people who hang out at the Lonely Planet website even have 'troll contests' to see which one gets the most outraged responses.
Is that what you are all about?

I would also prefer that you do not receive any helpful replies; perhaps not any more replies at all.
That would mean you lose the "troll contest," correct?

merideth Aug 14th, 2001 06:42 PM

Anyone have any information which remotely relates to my original question?
Remember, areas which are dog friendly in or around the JACKSON HOLE area?
Otherwise, I'll prefer to let the fatuous responses ride in the hopes that someone out there has a clue.
JH Aug 14th, 2001 07:13 PM

Dear marilyn,

We welcome your dog here in JH. However, we would prefer it if you stay home.

Another JH Aug 14th, 2001 07:47 PM

M:
We love dogs here in Jefferson Heights but I'm afraid you wouldn't fit in.

U-Still-Don't-Get-It Aug 14th, 2001 07:57 PM

Merideth, Meredith, you still don't get it.
Rudeness only begets rudeness -- or at best....dismay.

Bridgetender Aug 15th, 2001 02:06 AM

You must admit that Marilyn is a clever little troll. She seemed so sweet yet naive at first.

Not very original though. Could she be the honeymooning dog lover?

Woofer Aug 15th, 2001 04:33 AM

Merideth IS the Dog !

merideth Aug 15th, 2001 06:34 AM

So what those of you who took your precious time to respond with useless taunts or reprimands (without providing any useful information) are telling me is that unless people cowtow to the readership here, offering up alms and praise, assistance will be denied. Is that it?
Are you all brainwashed Catholics or something?
Gimme a break. If someone can't even have a simple question answered here without turning backflips and offering big smiles all around, this is a hopeless forum.
I'd heard from a friend that it was a great place to exchange travel info and ideas. Guess I heard wrong.

offended Aug 15th, 2001 06:42 AM

call me a taunter - tell me i cowtow - i'm a bore and a boor - brainwashed and useless - but don't EVER accuse me of being catholic!

xxx Aug 15th, 2001 06:45 AM

No, Meredity - what you got wrong was that you can't ask a vague question (it's not like Jackson Hole is NYC or DC or LA) then call everyone here stupid when they ask for clarification. You would have gotten tons of info if you have just said - "JH stands for Jackson Hole." Get some basic manners and you'll get some basic help - or go buy a book and do it yourself.

cat lover Aug 15th, 2001 06:46 AM

Yes Meredith, you came to the wrong place. We are all useless, cat-loving fools, so....good-bye.

foderite Aug 15th, 2001 06:49 AM

Merideth, nobody requires smiles all around, backflips or alms. If you need a question answered about travel this is a great forum as your friend said. But YOU are asking for help so that usually means being civil. You posted using initials for a place in a state that is rarely discussed on this travel forum. It's not that foderites don't have information for you about Jackson Hole, it's just that you called them bozos and mocked them with the use of einstein. You made the error when you were not clear in your post. No need to apologize but no need to turn to name calling. It just makes you sound so childish.

usefulinfo Aug 15th, 2001 06:53 AM

i always found the brothel on main street to be a good place to sleep meredith. only place i found where you could get paid to spend the night. you might want to consider it.

dog hater Aug 15th, 2001 07:12 AM

okay there aren't many dog friendly places in JH other than the brothel. what about monkeys? can i take my monkey to JH?

Travel Aug 15th, 2001 11:15 AM

Merideth:
Be advised that JH is full of dog-loving "brainwashed catholics". They would be very happy to take your dog in, introduce him around and show him the sights. But, I'm afraid you will have to stay in the brothel.

Merideth's IQ Aug 15th, 2001 11:36 AM

Merideth, why not hide the dog under a long skirt? Not only will you get into any place you want but you'll probably come the closest to sex you've had in a long time.

merideth Aug 15th, 2001 12:03 PM

Do you people even have jobs?
All you can do is waste your time tossing around childish insults, some of you several times per day.
Do your employers know that you're 'stealing' from them while on company payroll?
Talk about angry and hostile and impolite....take a look at some of these posts.
You people need some help!

Jerry Herman Aug 15th, 2001 12:11 PM
There's a reason you're going on vacation with your damn dog and not a boyfriend or other human friend and that reason has nothing to do with us. Your dog probably doesn't even give you unconditional love. He's squirtin' in your closet when you're not looking.

merideth Aug 15th, 2001 05:27 PM

No, Jerry, I think the only reason he's been squirting lateley is because YOU gave him a venereal disease and he can't seem to get rid of the burn and frequency of urination.
You know that's illegal in the US, and I'll thank you to stay away from my dog from now on (and besides, she's a she).
Go back to your sandbox, now OK?
Or watch some NASCAR and pick belly button lint for awhile.
And try keeping your mouth from slacking open and the drool off your chin while you're watching the cars and swilling your Old Style.

missmanners Aug 15th, 2001 05:57 PM

Merideth, Please go away. We really don't need you here.

TVguide Aug 15th, 2001 06:00 PM

Meredith,
I'm sorry, you have just been voted off of this website.....please see the survivor thread. Now get your bag and take a walk.

Jerry Herman Aug 15th, 2001 06:26 PM
C'mon Merideth...is that the best you've got?? You can do better than that. Let's go you little tramp, let's have some more...

touchdownjesusskisJH Aug 15th, 2001 07:40 PM

Meredith -

My pooch, my boyfriend and I all love JH and I was going to offer some advice until I saw the "brainwashed Catholics" remarks - why the need for that kind of unsolicited nastiness?

merideth Aug 15th, 2001 07:44 PM

Sorry guys, I've been PMS-ing the past couple days.
Should be better tomorrow.
Hugs and kisses.

sighing Aug 16th, 2001 04:40 AM

This has to be the most stupid thread I have read - even worse than the "Siamese Twins on a roller coaster" one. Merideth posts a ridiculous question, gets smart-aleck (and well deserved I must add)replys, and changes her mood with each passing post. I'm all for having fun, but this is getting a little tired.
