What island is the "perfect" vacation spot? Why?

Aruba
Nantucket

Looking for a new adventure and need your help.

In my opinion, unless you want guarenteed 90 degree weather in January, mark Aruba off your list. Too many other prettier islands that are much closer.

Don't get me wrong, I love the scrub desert topography of Aruba but Mexico also has this and it is closer and cheaper.

I second GoTravel.....cross out Aruba.I may get blasted for this, but I find it to be way over-rated and having a too great-mass-appeal for my taste. I MUCH MUCH prefer Mexico....its closer, cheaper, easier, and prettier than Aruba.The snorkeling is MUCH better as well.

You might want to look over on the caribbean forum..there are currently several Aruba discussions .....

Are you serious? Each of those places is so different, and what's perfect to one person is not to another.
