I live here in Orlando. Yes, it will be hot and humid (low to mid 90's). There is also a good chance you will have an afternoon thunderstorm, but they usually don't last long. Your hotel pool will be your best friend. Be sure and take AC breaks, there are plenty of places to go just to cool off (Hall of Presidents is great for this). Get a spray bottle with a fan attached, they work wonders. Drink lots of water and drink water before you go out into the heat. Wear a hat and use lots of sunscreen.

Disney World is a great place to visit especially with family. Your kids will like this place, don't you think its very expensive and hot in August. If you can change your schedule that would be great because the weather will be too hot and you have little kids, hope you can understand.

OK, to be absolutely accurate the hurricanes someone mentioned above with the month of November; the hurricane season INCLUDES November although it seems many occur in September and October.
