Hi FLW:<BR><BR>Look at: www.laurelhighlands.org. Fallingwater is right in that area and I looked into this website and they have listings for B&B and motels/hotels. Donegal is an exit off the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Uniontown isn't very far away from the Ohiopyle area either. Connellsville is about 26-30 miles away from Fallingwater. I always day hiked in this area so I could not recommend anything. There is a Days Inn at Donegal. It is fairly new hotel chain location.<BR><BR>

The "Land of Fallingwater" tour is a tour of the grounds(not the house)..including the geology of the area.<BR><BR>We elected not to take that tour..but have been the Fallinwater sever times.<BR><BR>Note.<BR><BR>I just saw on the Western Pennyslvania Conservency( the group that was entrusted with Fallingwater by Edgar Kaufmann's son) that...<BR><BR>"The westbound interchange of the PA Turnpike (I-76) will be closed at Donegal, Exit #9 from July 15 - 25, 2002. If you are traveling from the east of Donegal, or plan to travel west (towards Pittsburgh) on the turnpike after your Fallingwater visit, you will need to take an alternate route"

Dick,<BR>The Fallingwater website leads me to believe that the 2nd tour I mentioned does indeed include a tour of the house. Here's the text exactly:<BR>"Our new Land of Fallingwater tour is a guided tour of the landscape surrounding Fallingwater, exploring the region’s geology and natural environment, how people have and continue to interact with it, and how Frank Lloyd Wright responded to its aesthetic qualities. The tour ends with a tour of the house. This tour lasts approximately 3 hours, and is available on Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. The tour is conducted rain or shine, April - October. This tour must be reserved in advance."<BR>But I'm wondering now if the tour of the house is a quickie, or an indepth one... I guess I will call to find out.<BR><BR>Thanks for the driving info!<BR>

I stand corected.<BR>F.L. W fan,<BR>I just checked and the "Land of Fallingwater" tour DOES include a tour of the house. The house tour is about an hour long and is a regular tour...not the indepth tour.<BR><BR>Sorry about the error.

It might be the type of lodging you are looking for and is close to Fallingwater. I have to recommend it for lunch or dinner even if you decide not to stay there.
