I think I once read that if Manhattan were populated at the same density as the state of Alaska, there would be 15 people living there (in Manhattan).

TimeOut New York. I often tell people on my double deckers that if Manhattan were as safe as some of them think it is there would only be 15 people living here and I would really wonder why some of them spent all this money to visit.

Seriously, despite the fact that the typeface in TimeOut is skewed to people with great eye sight who mostly live in Brooklyn and are a lot younger than I am, the website and the magazine are great ways to find things YOU want to do while you are here.

Red Velvet cupcakes and Katz are the best!!! And I still haven't made it to Motorino. Maybe this weekend!

Me too. I'm always amazed at people that think 1,000 people is a town. There are more than that on my block.

According to the Broadway League's annual demographics report for the 2008-09 season, international visitors accounted for 21% of the 12.2 million Broadway admissions, the highest portion in recorded history.

Overall, tourists accounted for approximately 63% of all tickets sold to Broadway shows.
