In Case You Are Having A Crumby Day

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the
entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died
yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma
complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was
71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.
Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their
respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the
California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess
Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled
high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly
described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he
was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business,
but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was
not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of
his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a
little flaky at times he still was a crusty old man
and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two
children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one
in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly
father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for
about 20 minutes.

If this made you smile for even a brief second, please
rise to the occasion and take the time to pass it on
and share that smile with someone else who may be
having a crumby day and kneads it.

* I was definitely in need of smiles recently ( but everything is ok now) so I hope this helps cheer someone up... :)

Thank you! I am having a particularly crummy week. So are some of my colleagues. I will print this out and pass it along to them tomorrow.

Thanks, Scarlett :)

Scarlett~ I suppose he left the bulk of his money to his leavening agent, who used to be a loafer. Sorry, that was stale.
Seriously, I'm glad I own stock in Depends. They aren't just for after breakfast anymore!

Rumor has it that he was stopped by police and grilled for hours. He hired a lawyer since the wrong card was played. You know, the old argument white or wheat?
Finally, the family was embarrassed by his daughter's spread in PBJ for men.
The son was patted down and was last heard in a band, the Burnt Breadstix.

seetheworld Jun 13th, 2006 03:25 PM

LOL Jetset! STOP, please STOP! :D :D

BeachGirl247 Jun 13th, 2006 03:38 PM

Hi Folks, this is Jetset's dh from the flight deck. She was outside shooting mosquitoes with her Uzi when a large chunk of blue "mystery ice" from an Orient bound 757 hit her and partially pair-a-lies-d her. So without the I.V. wine drip, she won't be bothering you nice folks back in coach again.
We will continue our slow descent. Please refrain from using the forward lavatory until I say otherwise. Some gal named Muffin was reading the doughboy post and possibly given birth to biscuits.

Scarlett, Bon Jour! Thanks for the laugh!
Everything ok now? Is all well in Japan?
Hope you are doing better.

His snooty cousin didn't even attend the funeral.

WHAT A DONUTHOLE!

Gardyloo Jun 13th, 2006 03:54 PM

I hear the widow has great buns, though.

The former g.f. of the doughboy was in the police report yesterday. She was hand tossed into the brick oven and had a glazed expression. Of course, she was hot and piping, and the judge was visibly moved on that Sunday and declared.... She is Risen.
Mourners met at the bakery. Even the little croutons were there. A Scottsman played the baguette and an bagel sang a sad scone.
