I love you guys!!

Hey gang!! Just found Fodor's website a few days ago...(while planning HI trip) Wish I'd have found it way back when I was a Flight Attendant for smaller Canadian carrier.!! I have found the recipe for Hawaiian banana bread , and potatoe salad. Plan on making both before we leave.., and after we get home. Anyways, just wanted to say I have read a few threads here, and am looking forward to getting to know you all.

seetheworld Aug 25th, 2006 12:56 PM

I usually wait until at least the third date before I say "I love you", but hey, I'm easy...I love you too! :D

BayouGal Aug 25th, 2006 12:57 PM

I love you, three! :) Have a great trip!

Tiff Aug 25th, 2006 01:00 PM

Oh, this declaration of love is getting dangerously close to my question on the "what questions have never been asked..." thread.
:S-

Welcome to Dysfunction Junction, odywithaj!

(Seriously, welcome, we're happy to have you with us.)

FainaAgain Aug 25th, 2006 01:00 PM

Odyyyyy :-x

Watch out for every Friday "freaky friday" thread and Monday "how was your weekend" thread :*

BayouGal Aug 25th, 2006 01:02 PM

Tiff, you were supposed to be "I love you, four . . . ."

Sorry, ody, we have a few slow learners on this forum. ;-)

Tiff Aug 25th, 2006 01:04 PM

(LOL)

Tiff Aug 25th, 2006 01:05 PM

I'll say it in the same fashion as my friend's child:

"I huff you, four."
((L))

starrsville Aug 25th, 2006 01:06 PM

I love you four (or seven or whatever the right way to count it is!) BayouGal?

But, NO, I will not marry you. Sorry. Have to at least meet you at a GTG first.

Tiff Aug 25th, 2006 01:07 PM

I am getting several ideas for a new reality show in this thread...
:-?

seetheworld Aug 25th, 2006 01:07 PM

Talk about "slow learner", I just got the number thing, lol. :)

FainaAgain Aug 25th, 2006 01:13 PM

BayouGirl, the self-appointed Fodorville's accountant :S-

JAGIRL Aug 25th, 2006 01:14 PM

:-"((8))This old man, he played five,
((8)) He played Nick Nack ((8))
On my tie! ((8)):-"

((8)) This old man came rolling home

:-"((8))

BayouGal Aug 25th, 2006 01:15 PM

Oh, Lordy, we'll be in debt for the rest of our lives . . . but we'll have FUN doing it!!! ;-)

BayouGal Aug 25th, 2006 01:17 PM

I hereby surrender my title, "Fodorville's accountant" to JAGIRL. She can sing and count. I am just not that multi-talented.

starrsville Aug 25th, 2006 01:31 PM

Doesn't matter. Y'all are twins anyway. Everyone gets y'all confused. Just alternate wearing the tiara and banner.

kopp Aug 25th, 2006 01:41 PM

ody - glad to have ya on board!

Faina, what about the Poison thread? Certainly Statia hasn't abandoned us ((D)) I know I'm gettin' mighty thirsty here, and it's only 4:41, lol!

BayouGal Aug 25th, 2006 01:42 PM

In that case, JAGIRL, move over. I'm coming to Jamaica!!! :-D

On second thought, let's wait and see what ole Ernesto does. Maybe you should come it New Orleans!! ;-)

FainaAgain Aug 25th, 2006 01:45 PM

Oh, Kopp, you must've been away... or have I missed them completely? I didn't see those poison threads for a while now :-\

Statia Aug 25th, 2006 02:40 PM

Well, I love you eight...or how ever many. Welcome to Fodorville, ody! Where's aj? :D

Alright, alright, kopp and Faina...you've shamed me into starting a poison thread tonight. Only problem is that I have no poison. Anybody care to bring me a nice bottle of wine?

Scarlett Aug 25th, 2006 03:00 PM

seetheworld, since I don't date anymore, I rely on the 2nd Drink rule...then I tend to love everyone...well, almost..**I do have my limits**
ody...((L)) to you too~
Scarlett

suze Aug 25th, 2006 03:29 PM

welcome to our world
;-)

jetset1 Aug 25th, 2006 05:08 PM

((Y))Ody~ welcome to the forum.. you have been upgraded to the penthouse and our bellboy Kal will happily carry your bag and beer keg..

[-X "Kal, wake up and wipe the mustard off your shirt mister"!!!!"Put your anatomy magazine away and wash your paws too".

=-O I think the unofficial initiation here is you must contribute a drink recipe(hot or cold dear, we don't discriminate)..

**then you must compliment each of us on our humor, intellect, travel expertise, hostessing finesse at any future gtg's, and contributions to the Jetset Alaskan winery, on your good credit standing;).

((Y))I do hope you believe in pedicures, as I am rather fussy about foot hygiene.
:pAnd I adore you too, although it took many years to perform sheetrock with my husband. ((l)), J.

AuntAnnie Aug 26th, 2006 07:57 AM

feel the love.

iamq Aug 26th, 2006 08:17 AM

...and oh, what a world it is.

-Bill

jetset1 Aug 26th, 2006 08:26 AM

iamq~ would you agree that the prisoners here run the joint?

*The patients are the sane ones?

*Rules are meant to be bent, not followed per se..

*Fodorites "get" each other, unlike relatives.

((I))Okay, when do the smart ones start inventing travel accessories to make the plane rides comfortable?

SpeedBuggy Aug 26th, 2006 08:44 AM

Looks like I missed all the fun yesterday! :( Wife and I caught the afternoon cinema, then went to dinner. Nice evening.

OneWanderingJew Aug 26th, 2006 08:45 AM

Can I join the group hug/lovefest??

Welcome Ody!

iamq Aug 26th, 2006 08:46 AM

jet,
Yes, it's true. For better or for worse. /:)

-Bill

BayouGal Aug 26th, 2006 08:55 AM

J, someone mentioned a cool blow up chair (NO, NOT a blow up doll) that is supposed to be comfortable for flights. There's a link around here somewhere.

starrsville Aug 26th, 2006 12:36 PM

OWJ, glad to have you in on the group hug. Hope you are doing good, girl!

LLindaC Aug 26th, 2006 12:45 PM

I love everybody after about 5 drinks

starrsville Aug 26th, 2006 12:52 PM

Not me.
I do love LoveItaly though. Even she didn't put me on her "want to meet" list. Sniff, sniff.

SpeedBuggy Aug 26th, 2006 12:52 PM

How you manage that after only 5?! :-?

seetheworld Aug 26th, 2006 12:58 PM

Have we broken out into song yet?? :D

((8))We are the world.... ((8))

:)>-

SpeedBuggy Aug 26th, 2006 01:34 PM

STW, you had some very good questions on that thread yesterday, BUT it appears you've been slacking today. Get over there and ((8)) hit us with your best shot!((8))

LoveItaly Aug 26th, 2006 02:45 PM

Oh good grief Starrsville!!! Can I plead a "Senior Moment" dear friend? Well you know how ditzy we on the left coast are..Scarlett forgot to list P_M and she had just met with her!!

I don't think it is something in the water. I think it is something in the wine! Right Scarlett?

What I really want is for you to get out here..than you will be on "The Fodorites I have met" list! I will even stay at the Monaco, how is that for a bribe?

seetheworld Aug 26th, 2006 04:22 PM

Sorry SB for slacking...had to make some race signs and pick up a 50 gallon jug of laundry detergent for the kid who is going back to school, lol. :D

SpeedBuggy Aug 26th, 2006 04:27 PM

STW, those duties required to be a good mother are always the most acceptable excuse in my book! :)

50 gallons . . . you mean your college kid does laundry? You MUST be a good mother! ;-)

trippinkpj Aug 26th, 2006 04:33 PM

I actually have a high scool aged son, that does his own laundry. He's almost been keeping up on it lately, LOL.
Speedbuggy, sorry that I called you Speedbuddy yesterday. :-)
