Well, this morning before I left to volunteer, my fat cat meowed, "Tonite when you come home, I'll sprawl across your laptop while you're online in the bed, and I'll let you scratch my head - like you do every nite." That's about as good as it gets for me. So, guess what's happening now? Maybe I can teach him how to e-mail.

Normally I get a "How Long will it take you to clean up" call.

So, I know that he missed lunch, is hungry, knows that I'll cook (if I can't get out of it) but he won't eat for a couple of hours.

I'll be working at our Purple 'Project' House and will be grubby but can be clean, with hair washed and dried in less time than it takes him to drive here.

My wardrobe in an unoccupied house has enough clothes to cover any event and I'm happy to drop the steel wool/sandpaper/paint in a second if somebody else is cooking :D
