Hyatt Regency-Chicago-Wacker Dr.

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? What is it like?

It is fine.

Huge convention hotel centrally located to the Magnificent Mile shopping. You will enjoy it.

It's OK, but you might consider the Swissotel, which is next door. It's a little smaller and more cozy than the Hyatt (but I guess it all depends on what you're looking for). My overall impression of Hyatts is: big, beautiful lobbies; small, ordinary rooms.

It is actually south of Magnificent Mile shopping (just south of the river).

Hope you are trying priceline. The Hyatt rate on priceline has been 46.00. PJ

It is OK. Big hotel, good location, nice hotel bar. Rooms are not spectacular. Good for a weekend stay if when you wouldn't spend a lot of time in your room.

Laurie is confusing this Hyatt with the one on McCormick. This one is at the start (or end) of the mile. I stayed there last year, got a great deal. (70 bucks, spring break) Rooms were avg, place was pretty, friendly. Food prices were OUTRAGEOUS. One adult, 2 kids had breakfast for 50 dollars!!

I agree with the earlier takes: large convention-type hotel with decent rooms and a well-maintained property. That said, there are some rooms with very dramatic city-scape views of the Wrigley Building, etc. with floor-to-ceiling windows. See if you can get one of those. :o)
