Europe level 4. 77%. those countries like F.Y.R.O.M and Moldoya killed me.

Thanks for the great links! While I didn't do badly, sad to say, my 15 year old trounced me. However, given the fact that I keep hearing that kids these days know nothing of geography, I'm very pleased that he beat me! I'm anxious to try the European version.

OO: Thanks for posting this link! It's so much fun!

Did 70% the first time on US States, because I had to figure out how it works. (My screen doesnot show all of the US)

Burnt dinner, but getting better now!

Scoring near perfect on the hardest version on Asia (it's Israel, can't fit it into that tiny slot! :( ) Also getting to 95% on Europe on the harder versions.

I find that working one of the easier puzzles first helps me to understand how to position the country/name without it going slipping and sliding all over the map! :)

Thanks again!

Fun test!! I was 88% -- big disadvantage was starting with an interior state.

Lapdog Nov 9th, 2004 04:28 AM

That wuz fuuun. 84%, 32 miles, 431 secs, I wuz a road trip junkie in my early years, but I got lost a lot. BTW did anyone notice when you place Montana the left, bottom corner looks like an old man lookin down on Idaho.

'Tis fun, but they make 100% pretty much impossible by having a mid-continent state early in the game -- almost impossible to place it correct longitude/latitude without any nearby states -- usually Colorado, Nebraska, Montana.

Thanks OO

90%
308 seconds
16 mile error

I would have done much better if Colorado didn't come up as the #3 state!

ncgrrl Nov 9th, 2004 01:04 PM

I had to print out a report today, so I went back and place more states. During a paper jam (bleeping printer) I finally scored 100%. Took 213 seconds though (bleeping printer jam).

Woo-hoo!

Now I need to improve my Central and South America scores.

On the Europe map does anyone know what initials to use for F.Y.R.O.M. in the advanced levels--for or fyr, whichever I use comes out wrong.

Dave_ Nov 9th, 2004 02:11 PM

"f.y" is what you need. It confused me for a while too!

Patty Nov 9th, 2004 03:16 PM

92% and 13 miles for the US states. I did worst on Europe at 73%. All those tiny countries were hard to place! And what is FYROM?

100% on South and Central America :D

easytraveler Nov 9th, 2004 03:29 PM

FYROM = Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

You'll remember its location better by remembering that it's Macedonia (Alexander the Great) and therefore near Greece

Thanks, easytraveler. And thanks to OO for posting the link. This is fun!
