jz166, I hope you enjoyed your weekend. It was beautiful yesterday, and it's simply STUNNING out there today!

jz166, You have to tell us what you did this weekend. The weather was pretty good. We went to Bumbershoot on Monday. Way too crowded for me. My kids liked it, though.

Observation about weather forecasts in Seattle: notoriously unreliable. Not because the weather(wo)men are incompetent, but because Seattle is situated between two 10,000+ foot mountain ranges. Depending on which way the wind is blowing around/through those ranges makes the weather very unpredictable. Many times, I, who live on the 23rd floor of a building with a sweeping view, can see vast sunny areas though I am in rain, or vice-versa. Rarely is it constant leaden gray here.

Rain in Seattle is rarely a downpour. Many locals don't even use umbrellas, just look around the streets on a drizzly day! Maybe it's that stubborn pioneer spirit but I've lived here 20 years and never owned a raincoat. I can't think on an activity I have had planned in years that was changed because of the weather.
