Houston Dim Sum mini-GTG May 3rd
Hi, y'all:
Moldyhotelsaregross, MSheinberg and I are going to do a Dim Sum GTG in Houston on Saturday, May 3rd. <b>Dim Sum</b> is a form of breakfast/lunch cuisine from Southern China where food comes in small forms in many varieties, and we'll all share the different dishes. And we'll drink Chinese tea for beverage. It will be very informal, inexpensive (around $12, including tip; definitely no more than $15). I won't make any reservations, but will just go at 11am to get a table for whatever number I'm expecting. Because of table size, I'll have to limit the total number of participants to 12. Woohoo! I'm glad to see this off the ground!
I hope that Volcanogirl will be able to join us. The idea of this GTG started when she was asking about Dim Sum. rkk - I believe my best friend is planning on coming. I've not been able to catch her since the date has been finalized. Will let you know as soon as I hear back from her. |

rkkwan- I'm going to tentatively say YES! also. :) I'm in Dallas, but planning on traveling to Houston to see the Pompeii exihibit. My former MIL lives there and I will be visiting with her, also.
This sounds like fun! I should have a firm yes by next weekend. This will by my first GTG. (I'm a virgin GTGer! :-))) I'm looking forward to putting faces to some names! (not to mention the dim sum!) Paula |
