Hot new restaurants in L.A.
I get to L.A. about once and year and like good food. Are there any HOT new restaurants with good food the most important feature? I liked LUques when I went about one year ago. Diane

Try Josie on Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica.

Wolfgang Puck's new restaurant Vert at Hollywood and Vine is one of my favorite new restaurants.

If you're interested in a bar with a great view, check out the new Standard Hotel in downtown LA.

I have heard that Josie is the BEST!

I am also seriously into cool restaurants...BUT, this trip we are bringing our three kids ages 8, 11, & 13. They are very well-behaved but will we be accepted or shunned at the restaurants that have been mentioned?

LA tends to be a casual type of city, so if your kids are truly well behaved I don't see a problem. Reward them with an In N Out burger and tacquitos on Olivera Street in between fancy meals.

I have read a lot of great reviews for Vert and Jsies...could we bring children to either of those places?
