Hot! Hot! Hot!
New York City = 95 Degrees today and tomorrow, 90 on the 4th of July. Hot and Humid, can fry an egg on the pavement in Midtown Manhattan.

How's the temp by you?
Chicago - 91 degrees
southern new hampshire - 95 degrees. It's better than snow.
Washington, DC - 101 degrees at 2:00 pm.
Thank you everybody! Now I don't have to go to Weather.com. By the way it's a little cooler in San Francisco.
Oh, ho, nope, DC 93 at 2 p.m. with expected high of 97. Chris must be thinking Heat Index. We are going to have one hell of a thunderstorm one day this week if this stuff keeps up.
It has been in the mid-90's for the last 2 wks and there is no relief in sight..no rain in forever, either!!
Here in Edmonton it's only going up to 19 (Celsius) today, sunny but with a cooling westerly breeze. Thank goodness last week's heat wave has let up! They are predicting up to 29 by Sunday, though.
ja

70 degrees in seattle--partly sunny. Very pleasant.
Although I'm not in the States at the moment, I thought it interesting that the high temp for today here in the West Indies is 88 degrees. Guess the Caribbean's not so hot after all.

And, here I was complaining.

Miami - Rain, thunder, Rain, thunder, and more rain and thunder. yuck
Our Denver suburb yesterday: 107 degrees, no rain, sight and smell of smoke everywhere. Ugh. And we have no air conditioning because supposedly it never gets too hot at our altitude!
(I am feeling like a weather girl today! haaha!) Here in Las Vegas right now it is about 105 but very overcast which means humid, too---kinda of yucky--we are getting some smoke from the California and Arizona fires our way...
Hey, NYCer-- I will be in your city all next week---guess I should just plan on shorts and t-shirts, huh??
Lake Placid, NY - 88 degrees and very humid. But it will be cool and very comfortable in the evning
Cool, cool, cool!
In San Francisco:
Sunday was hot by S.F. standards, 80's but not humid. Monday was about the same. Fog came in overnight, cleared by mid-morning (east of Twin Peaks, anyway). Right now it's sunny and a bit breezy, about 67 or so.....perfect, IMHO.
Here in Colorado Springs we are hitting 100 the last couple days - no humidty, no rain. Very hot and dry - just what we need for our fire conditions! Colorado is not supposed to be this hot, especially this time of year - what is going on Mother Nature?
Jekyll Island, Ga.--92-humidity about the same.
Ragdoll: Make sure those t-shirts and shorts are basic black (just joking). Weather is supposed to cool down to mid 80's by Friday. You might get lucky, but don't count on it. Enjoy your stay.
Hey, livebroilordie, I have to laugh. When I moved to NH in 1980 I was told I didn't need airconditioning in the house I bought because it was never warm enough long enough to warrent it. Moved in in October. Next July it hit 95, with humidity to match. Could barely move. Rushed to Sears to buy a window unit a/c for the bedroom. Damn thing clanked and banged and barely cooled the room. Took it back 3 days later after suffering through sleepless nights hoping it would somehow begin to cool and there were 15 of them sitting on the floor, all returned. Coincidently, the heat broke at about the same time, so we didn't replace the unit. Neither did any of the other 15 yankees who brought their's back, either.

Statia, I've seen some of your posts elsewhere. Are you really in St. Eustatius? In Ornajestad? I saw you said you'd moved there because of your husband's work. Is he in the hospitality business, by which I mean hotels? I also saw an unresponded-to post a little while back asking about the Old Gin House. Is it still open? Is it still in good condition and is it destination-worthy for a vacation?

Oh, by the way, it's 91 here in Hilton Head.
Ex-granitestater:

Yes, I'm on the island. The Old Gin House is operational as a hotel again. It's fully renovated and there is even a very nice suite on the sea side. The restaurant is also open and we have a fabulous four star chef from Belgium who runs it. It was all closed down and hurricane damaged for quite some time, but things look great again.

Have you come to visit our little hideaway often?
