Honeymoon in Vegas?
We were thinking of going to Las Vegas on our honeymoon. Will 7 nights be too long, is it too "trashy" for a honeymon destination.

7 nights in LV is way too long for a normal human.
Like eating at the same buffet 5 times a day for a week.
In small doses it's great but too much of a good thing is still too much.
I spent the good part of 6 days in Vegas and felt like it was too short, I didn't get in nearly enough of what I wanted to see and this was in the summer. I think there is more to do in the cooler temps because you can enjoy Red Rock or Hoover Dam without bursting into flames. Now keep in mind that I like gambling, shows, dining, bars, and visiting all the hotels and tourist trappy attractions along the strip. I did pretty much all of these activities every day along with spending a couple hours at the pool. Your answer may depend on, how many of these will you and your spouse enjoy doing together? How much are you willing to $pend? I could probably spend 2 weeks before getting bored but that's me...

...and there are people who like to be hung by hooks embedded into their skin, too.
They find it fun and relaxing.

Personally, I think Las Vegas is a good destination for a weekend trip. With all the possible places to visit in the US, I can't imagine spending 7 nights there, esspecially on a honeymoon. Everyone has different interests and ideas about fun, but I would choose some place else.

I love Vegas and go 3-4 times a year but 7 nights is way too long. It's best for 2-3 nights. In the summer if you're by the pool alot, maybe you could stretch this to 4 nights MAX.

After 48 hours in Vegas I'm all done. Hawaiian Airlines flys from Vegas to Hawaii with reasonable fares. I'd get yourselves over to Oahu for four or five nights, if I were you!

Seven nights in Vegas is too long, unless you plan to do lots of day trips away from the Strip. What time of the year is your wedding? Depending upon the time of year, you could go to Zion, Bryce or Grand Canyon national parks for a few days. Also, nearby is Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire state park....both good for day trips.
