HIGH TEA IN PHILLY
Can you give me any recommendations for a place serving high tea in Philadelphia. Thanks for your reply.

High tea (and several others) are served in the Swan Lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel. If you visit the website you can review the various menus. I have not been there for tea but I have enjoyed other meals at the hotel and I'm sure it would be very nice.

Thanks GBC, I'll look into it.

Second the Four Seasons recommendation. It has nice ambiance and you get to see the Swann fountain outside.
I've also had tea at the Rittenhouse Hotel. It's not bad, but not as nice as the four seasons. |
I have been to the High Tea at the Four Seasons in Philly (this time last year) I LOVED it and would highly recommend it. It was de-light-ful!! :)

There have been reports that the restaurants at the Four Seasons are going downhill/changing menus/transitioning to less formal.
I personally prefer the tea service at XIX, not to mention the view is much better. |
It is AFTERNOON TEA, not HIGH TEA.
High tea is a Welsh coal miner's dinner. Blimey. I agree that the Four Season is a good place to have afternoon tea. They also make a fantastic martini. I would much rather go to the Ritz-Carlton for some beignets and coffee than have tea, though. You Americans are daft. Thin |
Thin - too funny! I thought it was just an afternoon Tea but hey...what do I know? I am daft :-? :))
