Get Maui Revealed and call the condo resellers listed in the guide. We're staying for the first time at the Kanapaali Ali condos in a few weeks. Our price/rate for a 3 bdroom/2 bathroom condo (oceanfront) is very low (like $250/night). We just called all of them till we found the right combination of &quot;on the beach, enough beds for the family and not too pricey.&quot; We heard quite a range for units at the K.A. It's possible we're getting a &quot;dog&quot; room,so I'll report when we return.<BR>

You can get there and stay cheap if you are willing to stay at a lousy condo in Kihei that is not on the beach. Look in your Sunday paper travel guide. I have seen packages for about $600 including RT air (from New Orleans) and a lousy kihei condo. I cant remember if a rental car was included.

Just keep an eye out for deals and packages. My wife and I are going at the end of Feb and we got a deal from the Maui Marriott - $1400 for a week plus rental car (convertible) included. No time share seminars either.

I was mistaken. It is $1000, not $1400. Cool.

In fact, it's $800. Sorry to bog down like this, but it proves that are some really good deals out there, just have to be on hte lookout.
