Hi bmw, my ark is just going to contain a few people and a pup.
We are hoping to meet some nice people in their own arks.
What kind of food will you bring?
Will children be allowed?
Hope to see you floating around!

I have some questions. What is the best way to get upgraded to a suite without paying extra on the ark? The ark is charging $20/day for parking my rowboat - is there some other place close by that is just as convenient and a lot cheaper? What will the weather be like? Do I really have to wear a tie to dinner or will they let me in in shorts and flipflops? Should I bring my own food? Is it possible to bring my own alcohol aboard or will security take it?

Now that I think of it, this should really be posted on the cruise board.

I think the rules are set by whomever builds the ark. So it will be an individual thing.
My ark will serve good wine:)
Pets will be allowed.
We are still thinking about the kids or no kids policy.
All beds will be King size:)
No parking will be available cuz who knows where we will dock!
We will be taking applications for cooks, housekeepers and dog walkers:)

Our ark is already in the water, and operating smoothly, with a smoking zone, open bar and free pretzels.

The in-law suite is properly secured thirty feet away, by rope for fast release when necessary.

Occupants take turns cooking, and lunches are on your own.

No wakes!

We haven't been able to finish our ark because we are still trying to pay off all of the corrupt govt. officials who won't give us a permit until they have had their palms greased.
So far, we are planning on a concierge level that people who are friendly when they check in will get upgraded to, and, like Scarlett, we will have room for lots of animals and good wine.
(If you're going to be stuck at sea for 40 years or so, good wine is important :)
When ark is complete, we plan to head south to the Caribbean. We'll be listed with petswelcome.com and travelocity.com under "other vacations."

Gail...:) Can I bid for a berth through Priceline and should I use BFT first? Are there any free zones or should I just hurry up and take whatever I can get on the first try. I understand they will only guarantee me occupancy for two? Scarlett is your ark 4*? Are the bathrooms large? What about amenities??

What should I pack to wear on the Ark?

Is there a gift shop on the Ark?

What if the service is horrible? My last Ark experience was bad and the Ark Inc. people ignored my letter.

Our ark will have two of everything also. Two kids, two dogs, two bottles of gin, two bottles of tonic, two grandmothers (somebody has got to watch those kids while we work on the gin), and...

Some green alligators, and long necked geese, some humpedy back camels and some chimpanzees, some rats and no cats and animals and sure as you're born, the loveliest of all will be the unicorns. (Everybody sing along) :0

Oh...and I forgot to add. Will I get the worst room if I use PCLN? If I sign up for your frequent traveler program, will you maybe upgrade me? Will PCLN be mentioned when I check in?

My ark will have huge bathrooms and the best linens. Service will be great because we will get the staff of all the best hotels who want to escape the rain too!
Of course there will be great shops! This Ark will be Scarletts Ark!! How could there not be shopping?? or good food??
We will definitely be 4 * or I would have to travel on another Ark! No more budget Arks for me! I learned my lesson with that!

Scarlett, will you have good bathroom amenities on the Scarlett Ark or will they be the harsh kind?

Scarlett, will I need some kind of adaptor for electrical appliances on you ark? And how will tipping be handled?

Last year I took the ark and I was not satisfied. First of all, the room smelled like smoke. The soap in the bathroom was the brand to which I am allergic. When I complained to the desk cleark he was rude - he didn't even smile - and told me that it was the only vacancy in the house. I know this is not true because after I checked in I saw other people checking in. They could have given me their rooms.

Also, the pool was being repaired. they did not tell me that when I reserved.

But the worst was that it rained the whole time I was on my vacation. I am sure this all happened because I used Priceline - they always give the worst rooms to Priceline payers.

Afraid of the Ark - Help. I don't know why, but taking the Ark is really making me nervous. This is my first trip on the Ark. I live in Atlanta, so I am not familiar with taking big boats. When I look at the Ark maps, they are very confusing. Will it be much easier than I am anticipating? Will it be easy to figure out which one to get on and when to get off? Do you ring a bell like on the bus when you want to get off, or does it stop at every port. Are the signs in English as well as Hebrew? My cabin is on the 5th deck, at the stern. So, to get from there to say the dining room, can I take one elevator, or do I have to change and how will I know that? I know I am stressing way too much over this, but it's my first time and I will be solo. Maybe I should just swim, help!!!

Do the stateroom doors slam loudly on The Ark?

I forgot - another complaint. Many areas on the ark smelled like animals.

Arks stop only in sunny locations, hot water and good showers are not a problem, Bath products from LUSH include Waving not Drowning and Floating Island..Seafood is always on the menu, You sleep like a baby on an Ark because you feel like you are floating in a Beeeg cradle!

Oh, did I mention there is plenty of Chocolate on Scarletts Ark?

Well, harrumph, do you put chocolates on the pillows and turn down the beds only to entice your guests into um...doing....you know what...that dastardly act??!

Dastardly act???? not on my ARK you don't!!!
But if you mean "relaxing", yes, although I never liked the chocolate UNDER the pillow thing, sometimes you don't think, you lay there watching the news, decide to get under the covers and there is this mushy melted chocolate under the pillow :D

Will there be any washcloths or do we bring our own?

I don't want anyone touching my pillow with cheap chocolates. In fact, I will be bringing my own pillows. If someone touches my pillows, I will be writing nasty reviews on PlanetFeedback.com and epinions.com.

There will be NO touching of GoTravel's pillows on the Scarlett Ark.

The water's up to my hip boots, so can we simply launch the arks, and get onto another issue. Thank you whoever got this thread started, because it started raining all over again. I had planned to get my rhizomes in tomorrow, but now it looks like I'll be stuck inside with Trading Spaces and While You Were Out.

Forty YEARS? My voucher is only good for forty days and forty nights. Not including the night spent on the plane.

Will my cell phone work?

Will the chef be able to accommodate people allergic to fish?

Scarlett, as just retribution, could you see to it that they are assigned the same room,(smoking please), one double bed, inside view, with no bathtub? Do not remove mold from shower stall walls. As he owes me and plenty of others here, we would all appreciate it if they be forced to pay their way while onboard, and the daily used napkins be dumped in their room to be hand laundered then folded by Ken after lessons from Martha?

Also, kindly see to it that a black light is placed over their bed just in case your establishment is as careless as others in this regard, (even if you DO have white duvet covers), so Martha will know where she can place her hands as she wads it up to throw it in the back of their closet? Thank you.

The king beds sound good, but we two have two children and would like to request two doubles too.

Is there a jogging track on the deck? ...would hate to let my pink jogging suit go to waste.

I suggest a room comp for the first one to espy land.

Do I detect a "meow" building? Martha's being able to set a perfect table? Fold a perfect napkin? The MS line of Ark Accoutrements (remember where you heard it first)? Isn't it nifty Bush's Justice and SEC are finally getting after the corporate bad "boys."

DB, if they don't have a jogging track, you could always wear the pink jogging suit with your fanny pack.

What are the ports of call on this ark? Can I get in some hiking? Can I buy tee shirts 3 for $10?

My mate and I are planning an ARK trip soon? We have a few questions:
We would like very much to bring along a pair(the would be two) of white tennis shoes. Will people know where we are from if we do?

We have heard some sections of the ARK have particularly liberal elements and are hoping to avoid any exposure to that. (After all, we do support our troops!)

We often reserve under the name "George Washington". Will people know we are celebrities if we do so?

And, most importantly, will we be able to tell the difference between Big Daddy of the Big Rig and THE Big Daddy?
