Great Job Lee Ann
Loved watching you on Jeopardy tonight!!!! One of the most exciting matches ever.
Still watching here...but you are AWESOME!
Great smile!
WAY more exciting than the BCS National Championship game last night! My heart is still pounding. LOL.
Ann Marie |
can't wait here on the west coast - still 2 1/4 hours to go!
Great job. Gutsy bet on final jeopardy!
Exciting game -- well done!
That was a close game - good job! Now that it's aired, what fun tidbit can you share with us?
Still hasn't aired on the West Coast.
Aired on the West Coast now...great job from me too!
That was sure a nailbiter. |
Fun watching when someone you "know" is on! All three contestants tonight were great - scores going into final Jeopardy were very high.
If the previous champion hadn't happened to have gotten that last double jeopardy, bet a lot, and then gotten it right, the results would have been very different. All three were great contestants and Lee Ann seemed perhaps to have the widest range of subject knowledge. Great job, Lee Ann.
Yes, it was a great job LeeAnn! All good contestants, good game and it was a gutsy last bet but with the scores so close, it had to be.
Great game! Nail-biting till the end.
Oooh, I missed it!
Anyone who missed the show should be able to watch it on www.dailymotion.com It hasn't been uploaded yet, but it should go up today and be available for about a week.
Thanks, everyone, for your encouragement! It was an unusual game; Matt was the only one who missed a question, and we only had two in the regular rounds where none of us knew the answer. That almost never happens on Jeopardy. Lee Ann |
Hi, Lee Ann:
Great game! You were amazing! What did you do to prepare? How long was the time frame b/t when you were notified that you wld be on the show & when they taped it? Did you prepare for your initial online test? (I am taking mine tonight, Jan 9 @ 9:00PM. Any tips you can give wld be appreciated.) OB1 |
I missed it. Some idiot who has had vertigo and a cough for a WEEK decided the best time/place to seek medical attention was at the start of Jeopardy! and in the ER....... >:(
Good luck, OceanBreeze1! |

___ I was amazed at how good all three of you were. |
OB, I posted my experience taking the test last night on the other Jeopardy thread.
Good luck! |
enjoyed watching it -- good job!!
Lee Ann I was so excited !! What a good game ! I don't think I've ever seen such a good game . And I noticed it was a fast paced game. The board was cleared quickly and the 3 of you had time to stand with Alex at the end .
It really was so exciting and such a good feeling to know a contestant and to k ow we were all rooting for you . So tell us... What is Alex really like ? |
>>What did you do to prepare? How long was the time frame b/t when you were notified that you wld be on the show & when they taped it?
>>Did you prepare for your initial online test? (I am taking mine tonight, Jan 9 @ 9:00PM. Any tips you can give wld be appreciated.)<< I didn't do much to prepare for the online test. When I got the audition email in early May, I bought a copy of The New York Times Guide to Essential Knowledge and started spending a good amount of time at jboard.tv and on www.j-archive.com. I got the call September 7th and taped on October 15th. Usually contestants get three or four weeks' notice before taping, but Alex, Maggie and Glenn (two of the contestant coordinators) did a USO tour in Germany and Italy a week or so before I taped, so I got an extra week. To prepare for tonight, sign in early and make sure everything works. You'll need the registration code from the email you got when you registered. You will have 15 seconds for each question. Go ahead and type in your answer (which you don't have to phrase as a question), then just wait until the time runs out. You may realize your answer is wrong and that will give you time to correct an error. The transcript of last night's test and the answers are up at jboard.tv You'll have a different test, but the difficulty level will be similar. Have fun and best of luck! Lee Ann |
I haven't watched Jeopardy in years but watched it last nite in your honor. You did a great job and I loved the ham story. I don't recall any missed answers and that seems unusual. Hope you had lots of fun and good luck to any others who compete.
LeAnn, you did well. BTW, I guessed Gerald Ford too; DH who never, ever watches guessed Jimmy Carter. I love the show; have to tape and watch later as DH doesn't always like the noise.
You were very poised and confident looking. I couldn't do that. I often know the answers. (I was a National Merrit Scholar). However, during the show, I want to twitch, flap, scream, wave my hands etc, they'd never let me on there!! You did very well!! |
Finally got to watch online! Lee Ann you looked wonderful and were so poised! Great game between the three of you. Thank you for sharing that with us. Impressive.
Thanks for the tips, Lee Ann!
Here I go! OB1 |
WOW! I just finished watching it on the link provided. You were awesome! What a great game. Really entertaining. You did a great job. Congratulations!
I just watched online too. Great job, Lee Ann. What a match!!!
PS.I knew Carter but not much else. |
WOW! I got 42 out of 50 right last night. I wonder if that's good enough to make the grade? I know I was typing so fast I did make some spelling mistakes, though I don't usually make many of those, so not so worried about that.
I recorded it and just finished watching. Lee Ann, you were great, I really enjoyed watching.
Can someone post the link we need to watch it on line?
I just watched on dailymotion. Great job, LeeAnn. Just the experience and opportunity to be on the show is quite an honor.
I watch every night, but missed last night. Great to watch you on dailymotion! Great job!!
StCirq, from what I read, 35 is a passing score. Congratulations! Here's hoping you get to audition.
They don't worry about spelling mistakes on the test. Lee Ann |
Oh, good to know Lee Ann. I was so hyper taking that test!
I hope Ocean Breeze does well, too! |
Thanks sunbabe!
DH and I and our son watched. It looked like so much fun. You seem very perky! It looked like pressing the button is a difficult skill. How soon can you start pressing the button? DS surprised us by getting the final question right. It turns out if we could have a team of 3 people, we might do all right. congratulations on a good effort against tough competitors.
As soon as Alex finishes the last syllable of the last word in the clue, lights go on around the edge of the game board, and you can ring in. If you press the button early, you're locked out for something like 2/10ths of a second.
The contestant coordinators recommend you watch for the lights, but I found it easier to listen carefully to Alex and ring in as soon as he finished the word. Lee Ann |
