I don't know why you think this is a troll when the OP has written more than once AND..with a simple Google search you will find that Ladies Corner is a hot spot in Central Park where weddings are held:

I can't say for sure, but it seems pretty obvious that the OP is not an English speaker (or at least it's not his first language) so he wrote "vowels" instead of "vows." How difficult is it to figure out what he is trying to say without being nasty and rude about it?

If you want good steak and decent fish, and nothing too fancy I would say go to Landmarc in the Time Warner Center. They are very accommadating to children. It's not fancy but the food is great.

Marea is a very upscale fish place on Central Park South. If you want great views you could try Robert which is on the top floor of the Museum of Arts & Design in Columbus Circle.

Restaurants have changed along the area of Ladies Corner (75th and CPW area) and I am not that familiar with the area, but taking a cab or riding the subway to Columbus Circle is easy.

OK - the age of the kids is very important - since most of the places I was thinking of would not be appropriate for kids that age - who usually don;t want to sit for 2 hours over lunch or dinner.

I still don;t see if this is lunch or dinner - but assume it is lunch and that you would want it at about 1 pm. If not - and it's dinner - would you want an early dinner - 7 pm or so - because of the kids.

For fish for a special occasion we often head to the Sea Grille, which is good fish and has nice views of Rock Center, which might help to keep the kids occupied.

I believe that they have a prix fixe menu at lunch.

Note that based on your responses most of them are NOT inexpensive. And do make reservations a couple of weeks in advance.

The Boathouse in Central Park is very nice.

One of the great ironies of the Internet is anonymous posters calling out other anonymous posters as trolls.

Landmarc is a perfect recommendation in my opinion. It has a good, well-rounded menu (including steaks and fish), is nice but not horribly expensive (but also not cheap), and it's not far from the pavilion ... a quick cab ride. It's significantly less expensive than the Sea Grill and also much more convenient to where the OP is coming from. Also, the Sea Grill only has one steak on its menu.

Sorry, but there are hundreds of "good steak houses" in NYC and almost all can be considered a "cab ride away" from anywhere else in NYC, Central Park included.

OP should just google " Best Steak houses in New YouK City" or if they prefer "Best Seafood Restaurants in New York City". He will get links to dozens of "Best" links. He could then read the reviews and choose what fits his and his wife's fancy.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but I think the OP is looking for a good west-side steakhouse. I would suggest Gallagher's or, further downtown, Keen's. Like most NY steakhouses, they offer excellent seafood as well.

You like steak. Go to Peter Lugers. It's just a cab drive away and wonderful steaks for a celebration. Problem solved. The end. Or if you'd prefer fish, Le Berdardin. Simply wonderful.

I know that the OP says budget doesn't matter - but have a suspicion that Peter Lugers (steaks start at $50 and potato or veg are extras) or Le Bernardin (lunch prix fixe menu $80 per person plus supplements) would result in sticker shock.

Strongly suggest that the OP check out menus and prices in advance.

It's already been suggested, but the Central Park Boathouse on east side of the park at 72nd street would be very nice.
