I could sing correctly the entire first 3 verses (long) of "Tatum Ergo Sacrumentum" from Benediction (Catholic) in Latin for an old friend on a bet- and I hadn't done that or thought of it at all in 45 years.

And I don't have a clue, except for 4 words, what the words mean because I learned it phoenetically.

And Nat King Cole sold over a million records in Europe in 3 different languages doing the same exact thing. He was great at German, and the people just loved his accent and tried to copy its inflections.

I recite Abou Ben Adam by Leigh Hunt from beginning to end whenever I have had one too many glasses of wine!Don't ask me why I do this or where it comes from. It's in my head.
