Rave: a week ago in New England the colors were so great! Rave: finally after visiting the East Coast I've learned to appreciate California Rave: did not gain even a pound during this trip! Rant: a friend I met on that bus tour can't meet me in Palo Alto this Sunday Rave: 2 upcoming trips next year, and I love to "start from scratch" Rant: 2 upcoming trips next year, and I'm not looking forward to them :( |

Rave: Fall colors are getting more & more breathtaking by the second it seems. Rave: Halloween is next weekend, we finally live in an area where we'll get a lot of ghouls & goblins, how fun! Rave: Not a Sox fan per se, but YAY Red Sox, I don't think I could stomach NYY in the Series again. Rant: Hubby's birthday was yesterday & he was/is sick! We were also planning on doing the cider mill/pumpkin hay ride thing tomorrow. Rave: Probably going to rain tomorrow anyway , so we couldn't have done the cider/pumpkin thing anyway! Rant: My sister's pain after knee replacement surgery on Wednesday!!! Have heard it can be a grueling re-hab period for her! :-(
Rave: The Red Sox! Way to go! Rave: Going to N.C. State Fair tonight for second visit of this year's engagement. :-) Rave: My 15 year old doggie made it through major surgery today. Now if he DOESN'T have Melanoma (and the Vet says he probably doesn't), it will be a REAL RAVE! Patick, good luck with your Mom! Everyone, have a good weekend! |
Jocelyn_P: He's filming the Movie of the Week , and all morning was sitting outside my office. I almost ran into him at 7:30 in the morning, and he was very nice, said hello, and how was I, but seemed like a reserved type of guy. Did I mention how tall he was ? |
Rave: Sacramento Valley cleared of all the terrible smoke we have had from the wildfires. Had a good rainstorm (Thanks to Ciga's rain dance). So clear air again.
Rant: First rant is what Patrick is going through regarding his mother. Something (but what?) is going to have to be done about eldery people. It is a crime. Second Rant: Sick of the politicians. Can hardly wait until the elections will be over. Except, expect, the final results will drag on for 30 days or more. Rave: Family, friends and great people on Fodors. |

<u>RAVE Rave Rave</u>!!! My daughter had her 6 month full body scan after thyroid cancer surgery and she is CLEAR! Less than 1% chance of recurrence--we are home free! Happy days!
Rave: Cool(ish), low 80's <i>dry</i> weather in FL now. Rant: Bum knee keeping me from running, and an appetite that will therefore need to be curbed until I can get back out there. Rant #2 It happened when it is finally cool enough to enjoy running again! Statia and Patrick...ouch. I'm sorry...have been there with both our Moms. |
Rant: I turned 46 today. My life is so different from what I would have ever thought.
Rave: My best buddy from work and I went for a long lunch, because it's her birthday, too. Rant: My landlords gave me 2 months to buy my house. Need to decide whether it's worth it. Rave: Gave my friend a cool pair of rainboots like the ones I have, and she LOVED them. We both wore them to lunch. |

Rave: I have three trips in the planning stages all at once...Bangkok & Tokyo at Christmas, a college tour in January and Portland sometime before Dec 15th. I'm in guidebook/travel talk heaven!
Rant: Hard to plan a college preview trip until the daughter finalizes the list of colleges! Also hard to carve the time to do it out of her busy school schedule. Rave: We're lucky enough that she has all these options. Also that she is so beautiful, so talented, so compassionate and...oops is my mother-bias showing???? :-] |
