rave: hope it doesn't rain, so i can go strawberry picking.

rave: air tahiti nui is starting direct service from new york to papette next year! what i wouldn't give to go!

rant: car shopping isn't fun. but i'm learing alot.

There are more Pleasant people than unpleasant :D

Rant: Katie Couric interviewing O.J. Simpson. Thats an all time low.

Rave: Not a cloud in the sky in Boston.

Ditto Smarty Jones! Scarlett: Glad to see Harry again too! Rant: it is TOO DARN HOT in SW Fla, hope the rainy season starts soon! :-D

rant--We just moved back here a few months ago so I do not yet have deep friendships here.

rave--Ran into an old sorority sister this week who it turns out lives a few doors from me and our kids are in the same class!

rave--It is gorgeous here today and I am going on the Oregon Trail field trips with my sons class.

rave--We live near a very small town that still has a drive-in theater so will go see Shrek 2 tomorrow night there:)

Rave: It's Friday, what else could we want?

Rave: Spending this evening at home having dinner and movie with my husband who is so seldom off on Friday nights.

Rave: Getting my Austria itinerary pinned down a little more each day.

Can't think of any rants, quite honestly.

Rave: My new firm has a summertime Friday tradition known as "Hawaiian Shirt Day" - which I must say provides an interesting insight into your colleagues lives away from the office. (Normally we're a staid and conservative old line Wall Street firm.) Looks like I'm going to have to break out the Hilo Hattie purchases from 2 years ago! Although, one guy is wearing a bright pink and orange number that I'm not sure I can even come close to matching. In fact, not sure I'd want to!

Rave: The NY Times series of articles this week on life in Las Vegas. A must read for anyone who thinks moving their family to "Sin City" for the economic opportunities doesn't come with a price.

Rant: To the traffic cop at 42nd and 8th last night - If you just stand there not directing traffic and let cars make illegal turns and block the intersection, you WILL cause traffic on 42nd street to back up to 6th Avenue.

Rave: It's my 30th birthday today.

Rant: I STILL have no clue what I'm doing, but I'm dressed for anything!

Rave: One of our clients is having a film crew coming to us today, to shoot a kind of "behind the scenes" thing.

Rant: I'm dressed in a tight low cut summer dress and heels!! They're going to look at me and think, "this is the office manager?"

Rant: Plans got nixed for NH next weekend, and since we booked through Priceline, we can't cancel.

Rave: It's a gorgeous day here in NYC

Rave: It's Friday and it's payday!

Rant: Most of my paycheck is gone, to rent, State taxes, bills, etc.

Rave: My brother got my neice a dog instead of a cat for her birthday, this adorable Pomeranian puppy named "Foxy".

Rave: Sopranos season finale on Sunday, and have a baptism on Sunday, followed by dinner at one of my fav restaurants in Queens, Portofino.

NYC is STILL the world's best city and has some of the world's best people.

Having a view from your hotel room of the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings one day and in less than 48hrs later having a view of Sonoma Valley vineyards the next.

TIP: Even tho the wine is free doesn't mean you have to try and drink ALL of it! :">

Just booked our hotel for the Dec/Jan stay on Kauai. 207 mo' days! \:D/

Watching loved ones age.
Life does go on! Hope we're not grabbin' all the gusto! We'll try and leave something for ya'll.

Rant; same boat, had to cancel priceline but oh well, that's the price you pay.

Rant: Haven't spent time with my husband in weeks. I miss him.

Rant: Not quite 40th birthday right around the corner and had to cancel plans.

Rave: Ryan's staid Wall Street firm having Hawaiian shirt day! There's hope yet!

Rave - Going to see Harry tomorrow with big group of friends. Can't wait. I don't recall being this excited to see a movie ever before. I've never been one to get caught up in any of the Star Wars/Star Trek/Lord of the Rings hoopla but here I am a Harry Potter junkie.

We have a policy in my company to get a card and cake when it's someone's birthday, and the only other chick in the office just disappeared. Now since I'm the one that usually handles the card and cake functions, hmmm I wonder where she went? :-"

Rant: the first decent weatherwise day in awhile and I'm home waiting for the plumber. No hot water AGAIN!
Rave. No other complaint. :)

Rave: It is Friday at 11:30 a.m. and I am working at my home computer in my bathrobe! Don't tell anyone. Yes, it's an advantage of being self-employed and working at home part of the time.

Rave: I LOVE NY too, Kal! Had so much fun there last weekend going through the neighborhoods. Bought the Wicked CD and have been playing it in the car all week.

Rave: Staying up at night after everyone goes to bed, going through all the Japan posts I have printed out from here, taking notes, making files of info, and working on the intinerary w/my son (ok ok, so what if it is 10 months away, this is the really fun part!)

Rave: missjanna is still employed on her birthday!

Rave: I can't hear the cicadas in my house anymore. I can work in the garden without getting dive-bombed by those suckers. Now if the rain will just hold off so I can get some gardening done tomorrow...

Rave- I'll be headed to NYC on Sunday for a meeting on Monday.

Rant- Was hoping to take in the Modigliani exhibit at the Jewish Museum, but they close at 5:45 on Sundays and I may not get into the city to check in to my hotel until 3!

Rant- the Met and the Neue Galerie close early too on Sundays. But maybe I can sprint. Anybody NYC fodorites want to take in an exhibit Sunday early eve?

Rave- but I can still pack gallon Ziplocs into my bag - Ess-A-Bagel, here I come! Happy Friday to all!

RAVE: It's raining in Raleigh, and we need it so badly!

RAVE: Some of my family is in China, and I've gotten pictures already!

RAVE OR RANT (you decide;-) ): A guy went through the drive-through of the Hillsborough Bojangles restaurant on Monday......... STARK NAKED! Had to open the door of his car to get his food at the pass-through.....

Oh, well, we are having an exceptionally hot Spring here in Raleigh!:-)
