Freaky Friday rants and raves. June 18th
 

In an attempt to keep this thread "travel related" and make it OK with the Fodor's weekend police here goes! \:D/

Rant: If you are "traveling" to Minnesota the mosquitoes are freaking terrible outside.

Rave: I cashed in a CD this week worth several thousands which "traveled" to my mail box.

Rant: I turn 46 today:-(
Rave: I leave tomorrow for Lake Tahoe for five lovely days with my husband and no kids:-)

Rave: Leaving Monday for a trip to Maryland / Delaware to visit family. Going to Rehoboth Beach for the first time in 15 years--very excited about that and spending time with niece / nephews. :-D

Rant: Learning footwork (on the ice) may be the death of me...the thought of traveling south to softer regions of my lower continent really frightens me some days! :-(

Rant: Fodor's police...I think they are getting overly aggresive
Rave: Been home for a full 48 hours!
Rant: DW is travelling
Rave: Family we've shared travels with
Rave: Glorious sunny weather in the Mad River Valley of VT
Rave: Having time to do this...

Rave: My life is good.

Rant: This heat and oppressive humidity. Mid 90s today with heat indices in the 100s.

Rave: Kids last day of school is today, and we are traveling to Kings Dominion early next week for a few days as a reward for another good year of work by them.
Rave: My resident Japanese Bettles have traveled somewhere else.
Rave: Simultaneously planning trips 1)to Houston for family visit, baseball, and then a surprise birthday weekend alone w/my oldest and best friend; 2) a rescheduled trip to Utah parks for fall; 3) a Florida Christmas trip; 4) Japan 2005 trip. Lots of late night planning sessions. I'm in heaven.
Rave: I kept it all travel related.

Rant: Humid, humid, and more humid here in New Jersey.

Rave: Son and GF are back from post college graduation tour of Europe. They had a great time!

Happy Birthday Donna. My 46th is next Friday. Hey, it could be worse. You could be turning 13. YIKES!

Rave: Leaving tomorrow for Florida! Can't wait for that first glimpse of the beach!

Rant: All the rain in Illinois

Rave: Pistons are going to be traveling to the White House for a little presidential visit!
Rant: Might have to cancel my trip to NCY in August. New house is sucking the $ right out of our bank account. I'm very depressed :-(
Rave: NYC will still be there when our banc acccount recovers!!!

RAVE: Going to Chateau Morrisette luncheon, Meadows-of-Dan, VA to celebrate double birthdays with my sister on Sunday. I will be 60, she will be 70 (I - born on a Wednesday, 10 a.m., June 21, 1944; She - born on a Wednesday, 10 p.m., June 21, 1934)

RANT: Heat & humidity full speed ahead here in Central N.C.

RAVE: My little garden is actually getting squash, peppers, tomatoes, cukes....... Who knew I could do that???:-)

rave-despite the pesky caterpillars eating many rosebuds, the roses are starting to come out and they're beautiful!!

Rave: Last day of school yesterday for my two girls. Both got excellent report cards! Trying to decide where to take them for a special dinner to celebrate.

Rant: Worked late every night this week. And the house shows it.

Rant/Rave: Planning trip to DC (Rave) but can't decide where to stay. Need to make a final decision but none of the options are perfect (Rant). So many great things to see (Rave) not enough time to see them all (Rant).

Thanks for asking mclaurie, my stepdaughter is doing much better! After two emergency surgeries she is still recuperating and is on bedrest for the rest of the summer.

Her dad and I are going to get her so she can spend the rest of the summer with us lounging on the beach.

rant: it's been hot at night on long island, and i haven't bought a fan yet. 8-}

Howdy everybody!

Rant: I have been SO swamped at work!

Rave: TGIF so I can get a break!

Rant: I will have to spend my entire weekend getting ready for mucho guests who will be TRAVELING to my island.

Rave: My husband is going to get to spend a whole month with his daughter who is TRAVELING to visit us.

Rant: Am I ready to be insta-mom to a teenager again? :)

Rave: My MIL and her sister are going to TRAVEL to our island during the time my step-daughter is here, and they are a blast to hang out with!

Have a great weekend everyone! And, to those who are traveling, be safe and enjoy it for me! After recently being gone from home unexpectedly for three months, I certainly "aint" ready to go anywhere just yet.

Rave: Today is my LAST!!!!! day at work. Tomorrow, I am officially retired.

Rave: In ten days I'll be moving to Mesquite, Nevada to be closer to my kids and grandkids.

Rant: What could I possibly have to rant about?

RANT: It's raining, still, again!!
RAVE: Go Travel's Daughter is doing well.

Rave: going to Portland OR on Sunday for a week.

Rant: the dentist wouldn't take out husband's root of a broken tooth because of high blood pressure. Husband woulnd't take pills to stabilize the pressure.

Rave: I will be away from my desk for a whole week!!
