Faina--You have mail:)
Scarlett--You will just have to plan a trip to SF in March! |
Thank you Faina, dear.
Yes, mms, lets gang up on the Yankee and tell him when we get back from Paris we have to go to SF :D Sounds good to me ! |
Hi mms!
Reser is coming along great - it seems like they've done a lot. They have built these four huge brick columns and have now started putting in the steel structures horizontally to the columns (can you tell I'm not very articulate about describing construction ;) Hmmm, Woodstocks! Still a local favorite - along with American Dream Pizza (I think they may have one of those in Portland now...not exactly sure)). Have a great weekend! Cheers, Tracey |
Tracey--When we were at homecoming, the 4 big posts were there but that was it. DH really wants to buy season tickets, but with the kids in sports we didn't even make it to the games we had tickets for last year. Went on many dates with dh at suds n' suds, lol! We always bring Woodstocks home too and freeze it. American Dream...they had a place up here first. The owners were clients of mine ages ago and I remember them telling me all about the Corvallis plans. Not sure when you were in school, but the "deli" (superdeli) was the great friday afternoon spot. American Dream is in that spot now though. When we go down for homecoming we go to our old houses, then dh's house has a big tailgater, so thats the big stop, then the game and woodstocks.

MMS, your lovely letter had arrived. As soon as Fodor's gets uninteresting I'll reply :X
Smooches :* |
Hi again mms,
Ah, suds and suds - it's still there! I was at OSU from 90-95 and I'm not sure if American Dream was there when I first started or not. Lots of new stuff has sprung up over the years. They now have a second American Dream in Corvallis - downtown on 3rd street with rooftop seating - cool in the summer. I'm amazed at how much Corvallis has "grown" over the years in terms of its variety of restaurants - a pretty good mix of stuff that we really enjoy. One of my favorites is Magenta in Cobblestone square (14th & Monroe) - french vietnamese cuisine, with a fantastic bar menu! Now I'm craving pizza! Tracey Hubby |
Faina--Oh but fodors is SO much fun to read tonight!!! It is keeping my laughing!!! :)
|
Any room over here? I can't take it anymore.
|
I was there from '84-'88. Cobblestone square was new then. There was a circle K that had been around for ages and then a new building that was just opening up. Oh, and Clodfelters! We could go there and drink for free...the guys would always send pitchers to us, lol! The rooftop seating at AD sounds great. I think we need to make another trip down. Email me if you like...it is mikliz97atyahoodotcom.

Beachbum--There is always room for you! Turn around and we can help take the knives out of your back:)
|
Thanks, mms, the one just below the left shoulderblade is killing me, if the one in the right kidney hasn't already.
Honestly, I do admire your restraint. |
There are no knives in my back but I do feel this strange voodoo kind of lethargy LOL
beachbum, thanks! |
Restraint??? ha!!! I was too busy laughing!!! Not at you though. I think we need a PDX fodors GTG...maybe at a McMennamins or somewhere. I'm sure we could all use a good drink after the last few days:)
|
A drink does sound pretty good about now! Maybe we should schedule a GTG when Scarlett comes to town.
Have a good weekend all. |
