Scarlett, yes he's a handful with a big heart. We have started to realize that we probably should have named him "Rocket" since he's definitely not slowing down with age. However, he seems to really like the nickname you gave him, as well. ((&)) |
Rave: Off to Sanata Barbara for our anniversary trip!! :)
Rant: DH hurt his finger at work, 17 stiches worth. Ouch! :( Rave: Our Christmas tree is beautiful, a 14 ft. tree from Shaver Lake. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!! Rave: DS & his girlfriend started a Christmas tree business at our home. It's doing very well. They're serving homemade hot chocolate and cookies and delivering the trees and setting them up for no extra charge. Only five left to be sold!! Rant: Our heater is out again for the third time, the technician can't get it right. Grrrr, I have a hard time with this kind of stuff!! Rave: Christmas cards are almost finished, lots to do before we leave everything for three days. Rant: Can't seem to find the time to fit in gym workouts the past couple of weeks. I really admire those who are able to stick to their routine, no matter what!!!! Rave: DD's friend's mom is home from Kuwait for awhile. She was able to see her daughter get an award for water polo. Coach and everyone got choked up!! :) Rave: Shaver Lake was beautiful with all the snow. When we return from SB, there will be lots of snowboarding and hopefully no injuries!! Rant: Oldest DS hurt his back lifting Christmas trees while working for our church Christmas tree lot. :) Have a nice weekend everyone!! ***kim*** ((l)) |

There is joy in Fodorville! Rant: Our little dog is getting so old, and is now almost totally blind, still he finds his way by nose to the back door and down the steps. We say he will be our last pup, at least until we're too old to travel! I know it will be hard to stick to that plan! Byrd |
More good news...They found the statue of Jesus that had been stolen from the cross outside our Church. Church has decided not to pursue the thief (s). Other than a couple of small chucks, Jesus is doing just fine.

RANT: I just found out the Franklin Mint closed their Museum! First THEY close Tam-O'Shanters in Vegas. Now, THEY close the FMMAGS. The sight the collectible knives, the Robert E. Lee commerative walking stick with faux ivory in-lay and gold leaf and the "Jackie O Faux Pearl Choker all displyed in their grand splendor was the finest representation of "The Home of the Free" as man has known!
Fortunately, I still have my memories. Memories of that grand place that no man can take away! Well, memories and the $92.55 a month I'll be paying for the next ten years to own outright my "Michael Whelan's Dragon with Crystal Guardian of the Mystic" original! |
travelinwifey, Fantastic! It sounds like your dog may have been around other dogs because he had fleas when he was given back. Possible that the other dogs may have been stolen and malnourished too. Please ask your SIL to report it to authorities in case there are more malnourished dogs in the maid's possession. I've seen these creepy kinds of real life things on Animal Planet and its very disturbing.

Rave: Christmas lights up on house.
Rave: 99% of shopping done, wrapped and under the tree. Rave/Rant: Found an eggnog called Pennsylvania Dutch that we REALLY like. (We are lightweights though, we still mix it half and half with plain eggnog) Rant/Rave: In-laws moved to town (5 blocks from us)so we get to have Christmas at our house this year instead of out of town. Rave: After bad divorce, SIL found wonderful guy and got engaged Monday night. Rave: Husband and cats all in good health. Rant: I found all the weight that everyone has been losing --- due to that eggnog and the great recipes that I keep finding here. Happy Holidays to Everyone. |
Mikemo, I do not have enough vacation days (rant, rant, rant) to do the entire pligrimage but only the last 100km (rave). I will definitely check on the Paradores. Have you been in the one in Santiago?

Rave: Just finished making all reservations for April trip to New Orleans with DD and SIL. Will be meeting DS and DIL who will be flying in to join us from Lakeland, and spending four days together in the Big Easy. Rave: Trip is celebration of me leaving my job of 20.5 years on April 1st. After trip to NO and one to Quebec City, I'll be looking for part-time work to pay for lots of planned travel - Paris and Italy, here I come! Rant: None at this time. |
