Lawsy Tiff, no Choo Shoes my my favorite Choo story is a pair of black in season Choo boots someone returned to Saks that they had to farm out to Off Saks.

Guess who found the $1200 boots in her size for $159?

Guess who had a $100 gift certificate?

Guess who ended up with the $1200 gorgeous black pointed toe stiletto heal Jimmy Choo boots for $59?

:-D

Precious GoT ~ Now THAT is a travel story. How those boots traveled on over to you for $59. You should have written a trip report long ago!
:S-
I love a happy ending.

Rants:
People who chew food with their mouth open.
People who talk with food in their mouth.
People who do it while being televised.

Rave:
Thunderstorm is rolling through the valley. Maybe the temp will drop and the AC can be turned off.

Returned foster cat and two kittens to the shelter for adoption. DW fell in love with the cat and had a do not EU flag put on cat's records. If not adopted, we'll take her and hope she gets along with our other adoptee.

DW came home with another foster cat with five kittens which we will foster for four or five weeks.

Rant.
People with cats or dogs who don't have them neutered or spayed because it's cute to have kittens or puppies around the house. Same offspring end up at the shelter and will probably be put down. Right now our county shelter has at least twenty (20) kittens waiting for a home. There is also one cat with an experation date of July 18.

Thanks for letting me rant about this.

Rave: Ronkala's Rant about spay and neutering pets. Good point that deserves emphasis!
Rant: Fodors gremlins at work on my posts.

Tiff: GoT must not do trip reports any more...I've nagged her for about a week for one on her last trip to Tortola, to no avail!:(

Happy Birthday to Trish!!!

PM: May I ask which condo that is on the BI? Am planning a trip for next May or Sept. I LOVE to snorkel!

I'm excited about dinner with the new neighbors! He's reportedly a gourmet cook! I'll report back later as to how it was!

Ani Jul 21st, 2006 12:47 PM

Its been a few weeks...Happy Friday!

RAVE: I get to start my countdown...13 weeks till our son will be here!

RAVE: Have only gained 12 pounds and am still able to run 3 miles a day.

RAVE: We leave for a family cruise to Nova Scotia on Sunday!

mikemo Jul 21st, 2006 01:18 PM

Ronkala,
It's way worse here: I could work 24/7 spaying and neutering and make only a small "dent".

Thanks for the walk down memory lane! Now I remember!! :-)

My dad went to Bermuda every year... one year he even sailed there from the east coast always staying at Aunt Neas in St. Georges. Bermuda was his favorite place on earth--he called it Bermudiful. DH and I were fortunate enough to go with him one year and see it through his eyes. It was a Bermudiful experience! :-)

Happy birthday to Trish, Bennnie...and me! Mine is Monday. ((^))

Rave: We had a wonderful time with our daughter and son-in-law and an absolutely lovely renewal of vows ceremony and reception last Saturday. It was such a joy to plan and everything went really well.

Rave: Ds is at our church's men and kids' campout with another family, since Mr. Pickle had to work. I had a whole day to myself - whooo hoooo!!! :-D

Rave: Mr. Pickle is taking the day off tomorrow and we're going shopping.

Rave: I'm more of a hunter, but I'm actually looking forward to shopping for a change. :-)

Happy weekend, everyone!

OldSouthernBell, I'll do it tomorrow okay? I didn't think anyone would really want to hear about it but it was quite the funny trip......

OldSouthernBelle Jul 21st, 2006 07:04 PM

Oh yes, the dinner was very nice!! After a glass of white wine, we started with Spring rolls and fish sauce( I contributed the lemon mint from my garden), went from there to bread (another neighbor) and some sort of cream cheese/salsa type spread and crackers, Salmon with tomatos and herbs, Grilled Beef tenderloin (various onions herbs ,etc.),
fried rice and new potatoes with herbs & butter. We moved outdoors for desert (I brought an Italian Creme Cake from Sams) and they had a watermelon filled with fruit as well as an apple pie, and coffee/assorted teas.

Two other couples in the neighborhood and some of the hosts almost adult children were there. I loved getting to know them! The youngest son will be returning to to school in Bangcok in a week. Such interesting people! A lovely dinner!

GoT: I'll be anxiously awaiting!!

jorr Jul 21st, 2006 08:22 PM

ethel, a $29 electric bill?

Has anybody seen that Hummer TV commercial where a mother at the playground gets back at another mother who budges her kid in line ahead of her kid by buying a Hummer to make herself look tough? And I thought only men were viewed as that dumb!

LoveItaly Jul 21st, 2006 10:14 PM

Speaking of Hummer's a friend and I were commenting the other day that a year ago it seemed like we saw so many Hummer's in our city..there was one everywhere you looked. I hate those vehicles, lol. Well anyway it seems like it has been ages since we have seen any. Gasoline prices caused the Hummer's to be parked for the duration perhaps?

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of you dear ones that are celebrating another year. May you all have a beautiful trip in the near future ((^))

autumn_grace Jul 21st, 2006 11:52 PM

Rant: It was "118" today. I say "118" because that's at the airport in the shade. It was actually around 123.

Rant: Our nighttime lows are still higher than some of your highs.

Rave: Swimming Pool

Rant: My debit card number was stolen about 2 weeks back and I've been having to deal with cash while waiting for my new card and pin number.

Rave: It finally came today and I can go back to my plastic.

Rave: My best friends are coming into town today.

Rant: I have to work the night shift (right now) so I can't spend as much time as I want with them.

AnnMarie_C Jul 22nd, 2006 05:06 AM

((^)) Happy Birthday, ElendiPickle! ((^))

autumn_grace, That's really Hot. The airport temp was correct because temps are always recorded in shade. the temp of 104 which I told about was in the shade.
