I am so excited, I got here first !

Rave: Good friends, good health and finally, good weather!
Baby boy spending a week on an island off Japan camping on a beach..how cool is that?
Rant: none~

Rave: I'm finally in that "summer groove".

Rave: My (autistic) son has a best, best, best friend who has practically been living with us for over a week!!!

Rave: going to Vegas next week!

Rant: Can't think of a single thing!!

Rave: Iregeo's son to have such a good friend.
Rant: My fingers are bad.

rave: the street fair festival is on and I'm still eating on the kettle corn I bought yesterday.
rave: driving to Minneapolis/St. Paul later today for fun.
rave: husband is playing golf this morning and that puts him in a very good mood.
rave: my local gas station is 5 cents/gallon less than any other place in town (and I've got a coupon for an additional 3 cents off).

I guess there's nothing to rant about today!

Rave: Granddaughter coming to visit for a couple of weeks next month!

Rave: Gorgeous weather with low humidity in Central N.C. today and yesterday.

Rave: Have walked 25 days in a row, up to two miles now!

Rave: The beautiful flowering Crepe Myrtles, Day Lilies and Cana Lilies around Raleigh/RTP area. Beautiful! Come see how pretty we are, if you haven't before!:-)

CIGALE, hope you feel better!

Rants: NONE

Rant: I've been back from Scotland for just over a week, and it already feels like it was ages ago. I look through the pictures every evening to try to keep it from slipping away.

Rave: My next trip is just five days away, to meet the new nephew (although I don't know whether Lake Jackson, TX, qualifies as a rant or rave).

Rave: the weather's been beautiful here in Chicago the last few days, and it is supposed to be great this weekend. We're contemplating an outing to Ravinia to hear the Chicago Symphony.

Rant: watching Mark Prior walk off the mound with an elbow injury last night -- okay, not travel related, but enough to send a chill through every Cubs fan's heart. It's gotta be the goat...

Rave: We're heading to the beach tomorrow, along with both children and families (all three grandchildren!). We do this every year, and we all look forward to it.

Rave: Going to New Orleans in three weeks with four other couples.

Hope we get some rain on the yard and garden while we're gone..

Rant - My car stalled in the parking garage at work, and when I restarted it, it jumped, and scrapped a concrete wall. Ugh!

Thanks to all the rest of you who wished me and my hubby a happy anniversary last Friday. Your wishes were much appreciated.

Rant: We didn't get to go to Saba on Monday, as planned, since we couldn't find a single flight with five available seats for all of us.

Rave: We had a fabulous weeklong visit from my MIL and her sister. We all had so much fun together that it should have been against the law to laugh so much every single day.

Rave: My husband's daughter went on her first scuba dive and loved it!

Rave: Tonight is the official start of Carinval on our island. Let the party begin!

Rave: Lots of needed rain here yesterday and now the sun shines again for a lovely weekend.

Rave--Had an incredible backpacking trip at Mt. Hood last weekend! Our daughters friend went with us and she had never backpacked before and loved it!

Rave--Nordstrom sale starts today, lol!

Rave--Heading to Sunriver in central Oregon tomorrow for a week of more outdoor adventure!

Rave: Going to see "Anchorman" and have a great dinner out. Rant:We need more rain here in SW FLa. Rave: My recently married daughter is going to Rome for a week to visit her DH who is at a NATO school in Latinum.

Rave: Saw a pair of bald eagles on my morning walk.

Rant: A particular poster who litters the Europe board 24/7 with snotty put downs and pretentious yammering. Ugh. It's so tiresome.

Rave: Went to our local zoo yesterday and visited the Indian and African elephants. They are so majestic.

Rave: Going to Jasper National Park one week from today, staying at my favorite Chalet, going horsebackriding through the mountains. Can't wait!

So far no rants, Happy Friday! =:)

Rave:our bathroom remodel is done. We just need the shower door to arrive and be installed

Rave: I just got to work from a horse show here in Raleigh, and our mare was Grand Champion in both her divisions under both judges!!! (Visual of me bursting with pride.)

Rave: Booked a trip to Vegas in August for a quick trip with some friends from college!

Rave: Cellphone contract ends today which means I can finally switch and get a new phone!!

Rant: Went to a party last night (who has parties on Thursday nights???) for a friend leaving for Iraq and I feel less than steller this morning at work.

Rave: Caught a striper up in Marin County. Beautiful fish!!!

Rave: My sister who is starting UC Berkeley next year as a junior found a huge one bedroom within four blocks of campus for $1,100. (Her first apartment--she is the baby of the family...)

Rant: Its Friday and my work aint done yet!
Rave: It's Frdiay The Weekend!

LoriNY.....I mentor young guys in "trouble" ....most of them would trade their probation for jail time, no kidding! Probation in Martha's case might just be the proverbial "living hell"!!!

Rave: My husband is coming home tomorrow after five weeks in Mexico.

Rave: All of the wonderful people on this board who post such wonderful things and put me in a good mood.

Diana: Yay for you & your mare! I've been meaning to ask you what kind of horses you own & what discipline you show in? I am a former owner (someday I will have my horses again *sigh*) of a TB gelding I adopted from the racetrack. Showed Hunter/Jumper for most of my junior & high school career. Man, do I miss it!!

Rant: I keep getting some type of strange spam e-mail from a lady asking me to send money to Nigeria. Anyone else get this? [-X

Cassidy, We have quarter horses and show halter (in hand) and western pleasure. I also have an appendix qh (1/2 thoroughbred and 1/2 qh) that I show in the hunter under saddle classes. I'm trying to break in some new boots, and I know you understand the torture my poor feet are enduring!
No time like the present to get back into it!

caribtraveler & jasper. You are making me sad I was not able to get anyone who would go with me to see Prince. :( (I did not want to go alone.)

I missed this post the past few weeks!!

Rave: I love my new job and we have an awesome deli and a Starbucks across the street.

Rant: We have Friday summer hours (get out at 1pm) but I'm still here because I have to fix the last person's mistakes!!!

Rave: This leaves me alone in the office to turn the radio up

Rave: Preparing for my move out to Long Island from Brooklyn and getting to do some serious summer cleaning

Rant: Went to The Container Store for 2 items and walked out with 20!! At least I'll be more organized now!

Rave: Still get to plan my trip to San Diego and Vegas for the week between Xmas and New Years since we have that week off at work.

Rant: Hotels are too high in Vegas for New Years, so we will have to rearrange it to spend Xmas in Vegas and New Years in San Diego.

Rave: Boyfriend is coming back in a few hours to pick me up after a week away in South Jersey for training.

Rant: His roommate who's moving out is a complete slob, so we will have some serious cleaning to do of his room when he leaves. Let's not even mention when he eats my BF's food!!

Rave: By labor day I'll be able to rest by own pool and jacuzzi right outside my front door.

Rave: It's Friday!! Have a good weekend all!!

Rant: I swear it is Friday the 13th.

diana...funny you should say! my sister was flying back from italy that night and she was devastated not to be able to go! the man couldn't go, so huffy i was going to go alone. i didn't like it, but i thought i just couldn't miss it. thank god last minute someone at work came with, it worked out fine!

rant: logged on at 7:00 this morning. Gee thanks Scarlett!

rave: going to see Fahrenheit 9/11 tomorrow.

Rave: My daughter qualified for a trip to Florida for a aerospace design competition.

Rant: I got up at 3am this morning to get her to her high school to catch a 4am bus.

Rant: Instead of driving home, I went to my office to sleep on a couch until starting work at 8am, and I BADLY overslept. I had scheduled an 8am appointment, and didn't wake up till a colleague called me at 8:20 to find out where I was.

Rave: Our receptionist totally saved my ***, letting people know I was running late, and rescheduling things so that it all worked out by 11:15 am.

Whew!
