Rave: Winter is over!!

It's gone, finished, kaput, done, ended, over over over!!!!

rave and rant: Overwhelmed w/stuff to get done, and instead I volunteered to go on a big girl scout weekend camping trip (250 girls)w/my daughter's troop. It is hard to give up one's time (and it's a lovely weekend, the garden is calling too). I admire people who volunteer w/kids alot more than I do, the sports coaches, troop leaders, etc. They are the big raves.

rant: Husband has not gotten a diagnosis for chronic severe fatigue and associated symptoms for over a year. This is a man who used to do triathlons before this came about. His Dr. has been treating him for depression and it's not depression. I am getting very assertive now and taking him to be tested for sleep apnea, endocrinology disorders, and other things. The rave is my former life as an R.N., so thankful I have the knowledge and background.

Rave: NY trip over Memorial Day w/daughter is shaping up. Found out by checking NY event site recommended on here that there is a big street festival on 7th Ave. a block from our hotel on that Sunday. Poster "mp" and others on here have been wonderful helpers.

Rave: I read these posts (ellen's son, faina's son) from parents letting go of their kids, and it motivates me so much to do what I can with my kids NOW.

Congratulations on the promotion, memejw!! I'm toasting you w/my bottled water right now.

Rave - My other half has planned a weekend trip for us Memorial weekend.

Rave - She won't tell me where.

Rave: I am moving to Fort Lauderdale Rant: I HAVE to move, and I hate moving!

Rant: one of our neighbors complained to the home owner's assoc. about a covered car in our driveway that's not being driven :@)

Rave: Yesterday and today's skate lesson and my coach Stacy! :)>-

Sam--your post brought tears to my eyes...my dh recently retired from the military after 20 years.

rant--I'm tired from running around all week and its gorgeous outside.

rave--I'm tired because my mom was here from CA this week and we have been busy. Even visited a few older family friends in nursing homes. had a spa day though to relax:) tried a new restaurant in PDX that my brother was the project manager for and its already a hit!

Rant: My old house needs a $%&#load of work done to it and I don't have the $$$$ to do it. Oh well, where there's a will, there's a way!

Rave: My favorite nephew (who attends Univ. of Vermont) just got himself a student summer research position at the Univ. of Buffalo. My 12 year old son is in awe of his cousin and is so excited to be able to spend time with him this summer!

Rant: I still have 3 hours left at work today. :(

Rave: It's a beautiful day and a beautiful weekend to come!

Rave: The mountains are out!

Rave: I have a cool, cool bottle of Vernaccia di San Gimignano at home.

emd, my mother has chronic fatigue. I understand what you're going through. Sounds like your husband has a wonderful wife.

RANT: That annoying spiderman popup on Fodor's page.

Rave: It's Friday and a beautiful weekend is in store for Southern California.

Rant: People in the company who have absolutely nothing to do with your division who think they're "advertising experts" and try to tell you how to do your job... Or better yet, point out how they believe you're doing it wrong!

Rave: Never letting the above rant ruin the weekend! Time for a cold frosty Bud Light!

Rave - I leave for Peru on Thursday

Rave - The weather is beautiful in NYC, and I'm heading to a roof party tonight

Rant - I'm coming down with a cold! The only time I ever catch a cold is within days of flying (I flew home from Miami on Monday). I hope the cold-eeze works!

Rave: Got a great weekend airfare deal for my son to visit his girlfriend in NYC.
Rave: Another beautiful Spring weekend in Southern California!
Rant: That once again we have to worry about our young people who are involved in a military conflict.

Rant: Box elder beetles. Every spring we have an invasion of them and the first have begun to make their appearance. They are harmless, but annoying in large numbers. My research says there is nothing you can do. Anyone have a different opinion?

Rave: I am running/walking the Human Race next weekend to raise money for Wildcare, a wildlife rehab hospital and nature education center. So far I've received about $600 in "sponsorships," with $20 the most common amount. What great friends I have!

Rant: Lost my digital camera on American Airlines last week.
Rave: Got a new one delivered today.
Rant: It's more complicated than my old one, and the old one is discontinued!
Rave: Going to the Florida Keys next week and will be spending 4 weeks there!
