Rave: We're in Chicago for the 1st time and enjoying the sights. Rant: Lost our digital camera on the airplane. Called America Airlines on what I thought was a toll free number from our hotel room, and found out today when checking my account that this call cost me $24.99! OUCH! |
Rant: My twin sister may not be able to go to Costa Rica with my brother and I next week as she badly fractured both bones in her lower leg, had to have surgery last week, and has been out of work over two weeks already.
Rave: It could have been worse, she could have broken BOTH legs. |

Rant: The Red Wings lost in OT last night!! Rant: Stayed up too late and had one too many pops watching them lose! Rave: FINALLY going to NYC!! In August for a girls' weekend Rant: How in the heck am I supposed to fit in everything I want to see into 2 days!?!?!?! Rave: It's still 2 days in NYC!!! |

<b>Biggie</b> Rave: Daughter got the results of her RAI scan this week. Cancer was confined to her thyroid only,(and she had a thyroidectomy last month) it had not spread. She now has less than 1% chance of it ever recurring down the road!!! Yippeee yipppeeee!! Rant: Sneaking jellie bellies last night from the depths of my kitchen pantry, very quietly, so as not to disclose the location of my stash...I pulled a crown off a molar and now have to go see my least favorite person...my dentist! |

rave and rant: Why do I always seem to have such stable winters work-wise, and then as soon as the weather gets great the workflow really starts gettting heavy? But I am self-employed so alot of work is really a rave. Just wish I was out in the garden more.
rave: Came into the office that I maintain at a client site this a.m. and a client/friend who just got back from CA had left a bottle of Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc on my chair. I work with some great people who also happen to be great friends. What could be better. rave: Daughter won a math competition in her class. She is competing against the other 5th grade class winners today. This competition goes on to the natl. level, and I am trying to keep her focused on one step at a time and just enjoying it. rave: Baseball is here, double header w/son's (who has recovered from his potentially devastating knee injury)team tomorrow in perfect weather. rant: Rescheduled May trip to Zion is off due to work again, but it's ok, we'll go in the fall when it is cooler and less crowded. Kind of want to stay home now anyway (did i say that?). I wonder how Ani is today, is she so exhausted her eyes are crossing? Happy day, everyone. |

Rant: Pat Tillman, who gave up an NFL career and a 3.6 million dollar contract to be an Army Ranger, was killed in Afghanistan.
Rave: That there are people like Pat Tillman that have beliefs and ideals greater than money, fame, and the like. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. And the families of those that have a loved one overseas, in harms way. God bless. |
Rave: Going to David Bowie concert tonight with my 16 year old son, and he isn't even embarrassed to go with me!

Rave: We're having a spring winter storm in Denver, the heavy, wet stuff that is beautiful and the reason many of us live here.
Rant: The Avs suffered a Shark attack last night! Rant: We're still facing another major drought this summer, so keep the snow coming! |
Rant: my bedroom and laundry floors and walls are all torn up because of a leak in a pipe in the wall. We're going to have weeks of sleeping in the guest room and enduring "mold remediation," drying of floors, fixing of walls and floors, and no use of the washer and dryer. Laundromat, YUCK. Send quarters.
Rave: the hummingbirds are back!!! Glad you like the snow, Rosemary, but I'm awfully grateful for the greenery, blooms, and those courageous/cantakerous little birdies that buzz their way over thousands of miles and still have energy left to fight over a hummingbird feeder. |

RAVE: Baby is a sleeper and, aside from waking every 2.5-3 hours, I got a combined total of 8 hours sleep last night! RAVE: I only have 6 more pounds to my pre pg weight and a size 5 again...woohoo! I guess all that pregnant running paid off! RANT: I'm missing my husband... |

An AP story about a couple on the Atkins diet barred from a buffet restaurant for eating too much meat. Having battled my bulges all my life, I'll usually cut anyone some slack on the overweight issue, but PEOPLE: eating TWELVE servings of beef at one meal is NOT how you lose weight, Atkins or not!!!!! Rave: OO's good news and anyone else's. |

Another rave: Though I still don't have any hummingbirds I'm glad I set my feeder out last week. Today I watched a Baltimore Oriole eat from my hummingbird feeder: orange & black and gorgeous. Who knew they liked hummingbird feeders? :-) |
