Football tickets LSU

Hi all

My partner and I are in the middle of planning a road trip in early September to the southern states, http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...elp-please.cfm

I would love to go to a football game and have been advised to try and go to a collage game, LSU are playing Washington on the 8th Sept which I could work into our schedule but when I look on the website it doesn't show any tickets for sale do you think they are sold out or not yet on sale?

Are there other ways to buy tickets

Thanks in advance

Rich

I'm pretty sure individual tickets don't go on sale until school starts in the fall (usually late August, but perhaps mid-August during orientation). LSU has a strong season ticket program, so I'm not sure what will be available for a particular game ... at least that's the way it used to be when I went there.

Parking is a different story and virtually impossible to get. Not sure how you'll handle that .. most likely park on the street. I used to go by campus bus, but obviously that's not going to be an option for you.

You may have to go through a tout. LSU games usually sell out or come close and right now the school is offering upper deck season tickets and individual game tickets for games against three complete stiffs where demand will be low. Washington isn't that good, but it's still from a decent conference so LSU may not have even offered single game tickets to date.

Overall, however, you're better off talking to LSU than to this board: [email protected]

If it's like any other college football crazed stadium in the US - you can usually buy scalper tix the day of the game, or a few days before.

Might have to pay as much as double face value - or more - but you can probably get in if you really want to.

The ticket you might really want is for the National Championship game this year, where if the Bengal Tigers have their Bayou charm working - they might make it - only to get vanquished by the Mighty Troy - USC Trojans. :)

BigRuss - did you used to blog on the college football pages a few years ago? If so - you still doing the big BBQ before the LSU games? :) Loved all the preparation you went to. First class all the way.

Thanks for all the replys it seems I may get face value tickets for the game on Sept 8 which is the best fit for my proposed shedule. There are lots of ticket sites offering tickets from $86 upwards all the cheaper tickets seem to be in the upper tier block 630 ish does anyone have any knowledge of the Tiger Stadium.

I was so looking forward to seeing a collage game my other option is to get tickets for the Saints vs Redskins at the super dome on the 9th Sept the upper tier tickets are about $100 what do people think? I follow the NFL on the tv in the uk and have tickets for the game in London between Patriots and the Redskins in October.

Thanks again

Rich

Disclaimer: I'm a huge college football fan with very little interest in pro-ball.

I would take a LSU game in Tiger Stadium over a pro game any day.
